Geo: 44.316, -69.8049The hotel yesterday recommended we go down the Maine Coast and visit some of the smaller towns.On the way we crossed a very interesting bridge which had replaced another interesting bridge. The previous bridge was renowned as being the prettiest steel bridge of its time. The current bridge is also an interesting design.Our first stop was Belfast which is very quaint with many older buildings.We also met a couple from Indianapolis who were part of a car rally consisting of older vehicles. We had seen several of the older cars earlier in the morning.By the time we were ready to leave the number of tourists had increased.Our next destination was Camden. Well, we finally made it to Maine!! We pulled into our campground about 3:30 pm today. By Sally's calculations we drove a total of 3,200 miles to get here. We spent two days in Nashville visiting two of my sisters who live in the area. Saturday my sister and brother-in-law took us to the 2012 CMA Fan Festival in downtown Nashville. Lots of concerts all over town. We saw Bucky Covington and Kelly Pickler along with several new and unknown groups trying to break into country music. It started raining on Sunday afternoon... Left Nashville on Monday morning, still raining.... Spent Monday night just north of Roanoke Virgina, still raining... Left Roanoke Tuesday morning and spent Tuesday night in Plattskill New York, still raining... Left Platskill this morning and drove to Richmond Maine, rained all day. ... read more
