2 More Days!!

Packing

Not that I'm one to complain, but do you have any idea how difficult it is to pack everything that I need into one small backpack. Okay, I am actually lugging along a 5200 cubic inch, huge pack with multiple zippers, storage areas, and too many straps and buckles to count. However, when I am only allowed to bring along a handful of clothes, including items for hot, miserable weather in Asia and the freezing, snowy terrain of the Himalaya's, it is quite problematic to pick and choose what to bring. I know that I'll be able to buy items abroad, but having to leave behind my favorite warm hoodie and comfy running shoes causes a momentary lapse in my happy packing mood.
I called Liz to tell her that I had found an amazing discovery at the local Target, the best place to find anything that I don't need but really, really want. So I bought two of them! When I told Liz that I had purchased fun, little bags that will compress all of my stuff into a much smaller space in order for me to, you guessed it, bring even more...she laughed for 20 min. After catching her breath, she told me that I had to take out half of everything that I had stuffed into my backpack. But I've already done that - twice.
