Today Russ and I caught the Metra train into Chicago to take on the city. First stop, Sears Tower Skydeck which we found with no trouble. We paid our $22 and made our way to the 103rd floor to take in the sights of the city. The windows could have been a bit cleaner but it was pretty cool to get an overview of the Windy City. I had been determined to see 'The Bean' whilst here so we blindly walked the streets trying to find it as I hadn't packed a map. After walking for what seemed like an eternity we found the Navy Pier so we checked that out. Russ had some 'Future Maccas' as he has a never ending stomach and then we set out on our jouney again to find The Bean. After consulting our digital photo of the city that we took from Sears Tower we found where Millenium Park was and there it was. Big, Shiny, Magnificent Beanie! It had gotten dark by the time we had gotten there but I managed to get one not totally blurry picture with my night picture mode on. Though it was dark, I still loved Beanie. Besides Beanie,

Not too sure on what was happening here but they were filling up an area with cranberries. I think it's in preparation for Thanksgiving?
there were workers watering the ice skating rink in readiness for Winter with some music playing. We then ventured to the left a little and found the Crown Fountain 'A Face of Chicago'. It randomly displays 1000 Chicagoans faces on 2 x 50' tall glass block towers. The fountain wasn't working but we still got to see the images. Happy that I had seen some of the tourist sights and with it being 1730 and getting cooler by the minute we made our way back to the train station. After a half hour wait we were on an express train back to Tinley Park-80th Ave. All in all I enjoyed Chicago.
Not too sure as to where we're going next but I'll be sure to write about it.
