Yesterday we went on a tour of the Filer area. The Hooleys are great tour guides, I must admit. We went and hiked around a local rock formation. Next we saw a local alligator and fish farm. The alligators were huge! I believe they grow them until they are pretty large, then sell the meat at a local restaurant. We also visited a local spring and fish hatchery. We were able to walk around and see all the different sizes of fish. They even had a viewing window in one of the ponds where there were salmon, trout, and sturgeon. The sturgeon had to be at least 6 feet long and who knows how heavy.
I headed to Boise in the afternoon to meet Natalie. We went to dinner at The Ram, and her friend Emily joined us there. We all went downtown to celebrate her friend’s birthday and had a good time there. I’m not real big into the bar scene, but decided to go to socialize and hang out.
Today I slept in, and Emily dropped by to see if I wanted to go downtown for coffee. We walked a couple miles through nice scenery to get

there, and Beth met us down there too. We got coffee, and walked around the Saturday market in downtown Boise. I got some cinnamon-roll-things for breakfast, and we just sat and socialized for a bit. We also headed to the north end of town to the hippy fair (not actually called that, but it pretty much describes the event). There were tons of booths up there, and some musicians and entertainment going too. Overall it was an interesting experience. Afterward Beth took me up to Table Rock, where there is a nice view of the city. We talked about good times at Western and just had a good time catching up. She’s headed into the Navy soon, so who knows when I will see her again.
After Natalie got off work we hung out at her place and watched some TV. I played Mr. Handyman and recovered Natalie’s DVD from the non-functioning DVD player. It wouldn’t power on so I had to dig into it and tear the player apart. It wasn’t too bad though, I had the DVD out and all back together in less than 10 minutes.
I headed to Myron and Syl’s house this afternoon,
and hung out all evening. We ate dinner and watched the BSU football game on TV. We just hung out and talked all night while watching the game. The plan is to hit the road by 8am tomorrow morning so that I have plenty of time to get home before it gets dark. Plus I gain an hour which is nice. I’m tired, and I’m out for the count tonight. Hopefully Jynx the cat will sleep in my bed tonight. And yes, I miss having cats around! I think their cat made a new friend tonight.
