Aloha Again,
We had a much deserved day off on Thursday....lol :O) and what a better way to relax than go to the beach!! So we headed back to Waimanalo Beach, on the way we stopped off at another beach and did a bit of beachcombing where we searched for shels and coral, I found coral in the end she was was behind me....lol After reaching Waimanalo we sunbathed and played in the sea for about 5hrs. Oh My God did we burn!! We had company while in the sea in the shape of a greenback turtle which came to within about 15ft of us.
Later on we went out for dinner and then onto the waikiki beach for our special webcam show :O)
Today we went on an early morning hike to Manoa waterfall which was about a 2 1/2 hr trek through lush rainforests, giant ferns, cascading tropical waterfalls and picturesque streams which leads to the tallest accessible waterfall in Oahu. Again this area was used in Jurassic Park and Lost filmed there only 3 days ago!!
We also visited this enormous Banyan tree, where It had climb me all over it......so i did ;o) And I
went higher than the other people on our tour, so unlike me to be competitive.............lol ;o)
The waterfall wasn't at full strength cos it hadn't been raining, which was just as well as the trail was quite slippery, instead we had heat and humidty....and lots of it. thank god for air con and cold showers......LMAO!! :O)
This evening we went out to a great restaurant called The Cheesecake Factory over 200 items on the menu, took us ages to finally decide what we wanted. Coral went for medallions of chicken with pasta and I went for good ol ribs, y gorgeous.........no room for deserts which was a shame cos there were several with our names on them......lol Something tells me we're be going back for desert!! We also had flying gorilla's which were alcholic milkshake's.......and I had one too, I know!!
