The North Shore

After a scenic bus ride we took a very quick visit to the famed North Shore. The big waves that the region is known for were not to be seen, as they only roll in during the winter months. The beaches were still as gorgeous as ever and it made us wish that we had allotted more than just the one night to visit. We stayed with a host from Couchsurfing, Sam, who has the pictured view from his back porch .
