E Komo Mai.......Hi there and welcome to Day six of the adventure that bused us to Chinatown where we spent time in and about the locals as they went about their daily routines and we spent time in the varied markets from fish to vegetables to assorted meals ....after a great time in the area we made our way to Aloha Tower (Aloha Tower was the tallest structure in Hawaii when it was completed in 1926 at a cost of $190,000. It is now the most recognized building in the state and second only to Diamond Head as Hawaii’s most famous landmark.)We strolled in about the various shops and managed to do a little shopping where I got to practice one of my favorite hobbies and that is to negotiate the price(commonly known as haggling).....after a most enjoyable time in and about the area we then made our way to Ala Moana beach for a much needed dip in the ocean......we finally made our way back to where we are staying and B.B.Qed burgers and smokies and I must say bed really looks very inviting right now as tomorrow apparently is a walkabout a Botanical garden then starting at Leahi (below
Diamond Head )a walk through Waikiki to Fort DeRussy (one of four forts constructed in the United States between 1861 and 1900, named for René Edward De Russy.)and then the rest of the day at the beach ....the photos that I have included today are pretty much random shots as we walked about
I hope you have enjoyed today's journey
Mahalo and Aloha till we meet again

My goodness, these photos are extraordinary Roger, It is amazing that when I look at the dazzling beauty of that model who caught your eye a couple of times ( and I think she has a thing for you by the way), and fabulous colours and images, the most striking is the blue skies , the vibrant flowers and the condition of the streets and buildings. It must be that I have been watching such ravages from the snow and ice here but the buildings look new, the roads look newly paved and everyone looks so happy- like the elected party on May 3rd. I love the commentary and the photos - and thank you for sharing your day again.
