So, here we are on our final hours, waiting for the start of our final journey in this adventure. We started the travel 3 weeks ago, but the planning was months in the making. Amazing how all that work has translated into all this. Now, in a few short hours, we will begin the process of taking the final few steps back home, and an official completion of Penny's circle. When we began on November 2, I was just worried about getting out of Smithers, let alone all the dekes and curves that were going to be thrown Penny's way. We both are going to take a lot from this trip, but some things really stood out. We remember the waiter in the Maldives asking if we were Muslims because we refused an offer of alcohol. The creepy guy that followed us in Paris for what seemed like an eternity of 3 minutes. Penny Goodcare written on her birthday cake. All the Indians that appoached Penny for pictures at the Taj. Getting the authentic Parisian experience peeing in a bush in one of the parks near the Eiffel Tower. All the cows on the road and in front of houses in India. Watching the Saudia Arabia Airlines plane unload in Colombo. Just so many memories stuck in our head. Once we get on the plane here in Maui, its off to Honolulu and a short wait until our plane to Vancouver comes. Once we step foot in front of the escalator that takes us up to the check in at the Fairmont hotel in the Vancouver airport, Penny will finally have doubled up her steps on this journey. Its been a fun three weeks, and I am envious of what Penny was able to experience on this trip, always having each destination a surprise. Thanks for reading with us, it was great to write to you and let you know how we were doing. Here's to the next adventure!
