Practice makes perfect.
This morning we got up to an early start. Our group left the house at 7:15 a.m. meeting Lehua at Richardson's Ocean's Park to print designs on our Kihei (robes for ceremonies). Using our imagination we created different patterns and sketched down our ideas onto our Kilei with the tools of nature's plants. After our Kihei's dried from the paint, we ate lunch and drove to the cultural school. At the school we took samples of water in one of the largest fish ponds. The fish pond was cold because majority of the water comes from the mountain. There is a low percentage of salt in the pond. The students of the Charter School blocked the ocean's water that comes into the ponds with a rock wall. Each pond has a gate to close out fish from entering into the next larger pond. We swam around the perimeter of the pond collecting 9 different water samples. After gathering each sample, we got on land and checked the full value of salinty in the pond. We also recorded the amount of phosphate and nitrate in each portion of the haff. After working with 2 wonderful ladies at the fish pool's, we drove

back to Richardson's Park to snorkel. Waiting for Jason and the rest of his crew, we surfed with Makani right in the ocean's park. It was exciting and intense. Some of the waves were fun to catch, but other's were low. After an hour past, Jason came by and we started to snorkel. Nia and Saulina saw two huge sea turtles. While Mary and Tasha were still surfing with Makani. During our time at the beach, Makani took us to see the water pools. We walked on painful rocks with bare feet and jumped into the ocean from a small cliff. The sun started to go down and people we slowly leaving the beach, so we decided to head home. On our way back to the house we stopped at Blockbuster while Jan shopped for groceries. It took us a while to find a movie because most of the features were unrated or rated-R. We finally decided with "The Invisible" and "In the Land of Women." We started to drive home, but traffic was slowing us down. As we arrived in the garage, we troddled up the stairs lazily. We did about an hour of homework, then ate dinner. Towards
