Office Party at Cobb Galleria
Here's a pic from our office party last weekend, Yovanda, myself, Natalie and Nathan. Finally, after 6+ months of planning and organizing, we’re about to embark our backpacking journey to South America. The fun part of trip planning is over, replaced by the fact that it is time to do it all, as said and planned.
Tomorrow, my roommate Ryan and I will be going abroad again. Waiting for my Argentina visa was nerve wrecking, but after three months of anticipation, finally my Argentine visa is approved at the last minute. So the good news is that I am in possession of three visas (Argentina, Paraguay, and Brazil), and an approved one to be picked up at the Embassy of Uruguay once we arrive in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Now for sure, we are switching back to plan A: Argentina/Uruguay instead of plan B: Chile/Paraguay.
Familiar tingling feelings of joy, excitement, and nervous, all mixed in my veins, start to settle in, as we’re about to cross into the unknown world outside our safety blanket. Some questions start to trickle in. Will everything go accordingly to what we’ve planned? Would I be in any troubles with locals or immigrations of five countries? What other things to expect or we didn’t think of before?
We're ready!
Some paperworks and books for the trip. Can we see and do everything as planned?
I knew that we need to go with the flow and be ready and prepare for unknown to happen, as I’m putting my open-mind-set hat on.
I’ve read books and other people’s blogs, learned specialties of each location, on what to do and what to see and to eat. I’ve planned our itinerary carefully, starting with some vague places to visit, and developing into a woven, complex journey that could last a lifetime. I wasn’t prepared for any Portuguese, except for a small pocket LP Brazilian Portuguese book; hopefully we will survive with a basic Romanesque language. This will be interesting.
I’ve been learning Spanish, which is supposedly similar to Italian, and it is proven to be somewhat true during my last visit to Mexico City earlier this year; my Italian helped us along the way in the Spanish speaking country. Then something hit me hard.
I am ready for our new adventure!
Our flight is schedule to depart at 8:35 this evening from Atlanta Jackson Hartsfield International Airport, and with our luck of having a direct flight to Buenos Aires, we will touch down in Pistarini
I am ready
Oo-rah! South America, here I come! “Ezeiza” Airport at 8:40 am tomorrow morning. Wish me luck.
This is our tentative itinerary. If you happen to be in the area within the time frame, feel free to contact me and we’ll manage to hang out and have a beer or two.
