Carrie and Sam pose with the world.
We left Valdosta and said goodbye to Georgia at about 8AM. We are heading to Orlando to visit Universal Studios. Ironically, we are staying at Disney’s Wilderness Resort. We got to the resort and checked in around 11AM. Obviously, they have no shuttle service to a non-Disney park, so we wake up the monster again and head to Universal. We get to the park; buy our tickets and head into the park. On our way in, they scanned our tickets and our right index finger. No clue why they scan our finger, however, ever since Carrie cut the tip of that finger off, no scanner will read it and so she got her right thumb scanned. After this delay we head into the park and begin to hit the rides and shows. We rode/saw: Revenge of the Mummy (inside roller coaster, Jason is scared to death, but it wasn’t too scary), Twister (an oldie but goodie), Men in Black (a ride that you get to shoot at things (Jason had a score of 231,000 and Carrie and Sam only had less then 20,000 combined!), Shrek 4-D (a 3D movie but the seats, air blows on you, and water hits you. got to see this almost twice since the 3D movie stopped working properly and they moved us to another show.), and finally, Disaster (the audience is extras in the making of a movie from a studio owned by a guy played by Christopher Walken. Good effects and funny!). We tried to see Jaws! all day. The lines were too long and by the time we finally got in line (they accidentally put us in the VIP line), but, due to a lightning strike, the ride was closed for the rest of the day. We have a two-day, two-park pass and may try to see the rides we missed tomorrow.

We got into the park at 12:30PM and back to the motor home around 8PM after traveling 249 miles today. To date, we’ve traveled 1,589 miles of about 4,000 miles.
