My father told me a few things that still make sense. One of these things he murmered while driving just the two of us three thousand two hundred and eighteen miles across the United States and I think we were somewhere in Texas. Well, it felt like Texas because I was hot and uncomfortable and ready to jump out of my skin, and I felt like that alot around my Dad at that age. When you're 15 years old and you're stuck with your Dad driving across the friggin entire country, there's really only one thing that seems to take longer [View Full Entry]

My friends aren't this hot. They were there to buy drinks for Bish. :)
Woke up with a bull in my face I died this morning. Trampled and gored repeatedly. A bull. A very large, angry bull with horns sharp as razors, was pounding down on me in the street. There was nowhere to go and this muther was huge! As he overwhelmed me I could feel his horns piercing my skin and ribs and stomach and smell him, hear him roaring like a freight train. It only hurt the way dreams hurt. Not physically, but emotionally. I woke up with my heart pounding out of my chest, as terrified as any dream before. The [View Full Entry]

Hola! It's time to begin the adventure and what better way than to start writing about the trip. I am your narrarator, GypsyKing, and I will be detailing the adventures of myself and my traveling buddy, Bish. This is my first blog, yes, a newbie to the blog scene although I've read hundreds and find most of them interesting. I write for a living (in the Information Technology arena) but have no idea about 'proper blogging', keeping my tenses right, keeping it in first person, third person, whatever - and honestly, if you you know me at all you know that [View Full Entry]

A late night visit to Ybor City on Wednesday proved to be a great time. I was able to get a bar stool at the always popular (and always hopping) Coyote Ugly Saloon on 7th Ave. next to the Green Iguana bar and grill. The night saw 5 women dancing on the wooden bar top just like in the movie and pouring shots into the mouths of waiting males and doing bodyshots off the abs of some of the bartenders. EVERYONE was having a great time with the music and dancing and it was ladies drink free night to boot! Security [View Full Entry]

The North got the South, and the South got this.
Atlanta, Atlanta, ATLANTA!! We love Atlanta. After a 10 hour drive from Memphis thru Nashville to Atlanta we arrived in Fayetteville just 10 miles South of Atlanta. Our friends Phil and Jane were outside to greet us as we pulled in to their 5 acre property. While in Atlanta we enjoyed lots of outdoor activities because, fortunately for us, we brought the warm weather (that’s a first, right Texas?). The weather was wonderful with not a cloud in sight. Phil and Jane guided us through the wonderful Stone Mountain Park. Not only is it a great place for kids with a [View Full Entry]

The gorgeous palm trees and alligator infested waterways of the Gulf make for nice viewing but, even though the humidity is ridiculously high, you wouldn't dare risk a quick swim...
Just north of Tampa on the serene Gulf of Mexico on the western coast of Florida is where some wonderfully hospitable Philippino friends of mine live, and I when I moved up from the Carribean to look for a job in America I stayed with them... [View Full Entry]

Birds/Siesta Beach
The birds are the ones that own the beach
“ You can’t try to do things; you simply must do them” Ray Bradbury First thing we did this AM was to return to Siesta Beach for a walk. It was a cool, breezy, sunny morning. I think we would like to return her one-day. After our shower we were off to meet Bob friends in Ellenton, a reunion from his workplace. We made one stop at Mixon’s orchards, what a super place, I had my first kumquat. There is a method for eating these goodies. Wash well, roll back and forth in your hands, pop the entire thing in [View Full Entry]
