Steve and I did two dives today. The first dive we did 1 hr and 20 min. SK found a jaw fish he has never seen before and made me take an ID shot to show around. Now we think is a moustache Jawfish but not confirmed yet. Then I found a bunch of white skeleton shrimp very pregnant and tried to shoot some camouflaged shrimp but the photos are ugly.
In the second dive I took Deb, Linda and Diane straight to the area where I saw the Nodosa two dives ago. I was lucky enough to find it. Maybe I just had fresh eyes. So cool. It has a lot of potential to use creative lighting with it. While Deb was shooting it I found more pregnant skeleton and the shrimp with curly tale. Where is Diane? Bummer SK wasn’t around either. The shrimp was very jumpy and I couldn’t take a shot but I marked the area to go back to it tomorrow. I was running late to do the usual run so I headed west when I saw 2 heads poking out of one hole: How cute: dusky lovers playing house!. I tried hard to get
the light in the hole and get the two but I need more skills to take that shot without getting hard shadows. I didn’t know how close to the channel I was and I was afraid to surface to take bearing to land. I was getting tired when SK showed up. How perfect is that? So I left him shooting my precious couple and headed to see if I could find the sail fin blennies. I couldn’t the tide had turned by then so I went to ck on my dusky. Still there and with huge eggs. Then I remember that I wasn’t diving aluminum tank and I was going to make it to the beach with 250 psi. OMG Deb is going to kill me! How do I say I’m sorry in steel tank language?
