Hard Rock Casino
A Port in the Storm It's raining, It's pouring....where can we go that's not boring? That's the best I can offer in rhyme. The shelter we decided on was the Hard Rock Casino in Tampa. It is very alive and festive there...you have no clue what is happening on the outside so let it rain, snow, hail....oh, I forgot, Toto: we are not in New York. Cory had a more festive time than me. I ran out of my "playing" money and refused to give up my winnings. Cory was on a roll but agreed to leave after I told him my plight. "Get while the getting is good" (my casino motto). The rain had stopped so we headed to Plant City. Located in this busy town is the famous Parksdale Farm Market....where Strawberries are King! You will never find a strawberry shortcake like theirs....ever! It is super huge and twice as delicious. The line to buy your scrumptious treat winds back and forth like a line at Disney World. It moves quickly...call out your number and the assembly line of creators has your delicacy ready for you at the pay window. The dining area is very quaint.....dirt floor and correhgated, fiberglass paneled roof. The decor Parksdale Farm Stand
Strawberries in all forms is striking....my photos don't do it justice. Photographs of President George H.W. Bush enjoying the tasty delight are on display. Lulu took full advantage of the photo shoot as a Strawberry Queen. Besides all this excitement, there is a full fruit/ vegetable stand. So many temptations.....STRAWBERRY FIELDS FOREVER!
