Today we were off again at 8:00 AM and were present at the foot of Main Street when Mickey rolled into the station with his character friends to open the park. Off we walked down Main Street to Tomorrow Land where we hopped a space flight. Then on through the park on the touring plan… to Splash Mountain, where… fast pass in hand… the ride broke down before we got to it... disappointment number 1. Alls well that ends well. Miss Bug awoke refreshed and feeling fine. Apparently it was a short lived sickness. So... off to EPCOT and after a return to the room we arrived as the gates opened at 9:00 AM and that put us on Test Track followed quickly by Mission Space... an interesting way to start your morning let me tell you. Today was crowded at the park and I was reminded that Ms Bug is on the cusp of EPCOT's appeal. I don't know how parent's of younger children do it. Today we were up at 7:00 AM and on a bus for the park by 8:00 AM. Yes, we were there for the opening... and thanks to "the book" we saw everything we hoped to see. Starting with the Tower of Terror, and finishing with the second time on the Rock and Roll Roller Coaster with Aerosmith. Yes, that's right... the second time! It seems Ms KJ is a roller coaster princess. We saw Donald Duck and the Muppets in 3D. We traveled to Endor on Star Tours. We saw Who Wants to be a Millionair... and much much more! Well... it is 10:30 PM here at the world, and we made it. A few bumps in the Magical Express, but overall a good experience... okay a great one. We started this morning at 5:30 AM in beautiful Seattle. Alaska Airlines finally came through with 2 seats together, and just over 40 minutes late, we took off for Florida. Thank goodness for portable DVD players. 4 hours and 40 minutes later, we arrived. Down stairs, to Disney's Magical Express and off to the hotel... but wait, where is the DVD player. UGH!!!!!!!! Super Motel 8 I remember this one time we got stuck in Orlando after a Disney World vacation. Our car broke down and we ended up staying at a Super 8 in Orlando, so we could hit the repair shops in the morning. I had never stayed in a Super Motel 8 before, but it wasn’t as bad as my friends made it out to be. Our cars was fixed that day and we were able to leave Orlando and the Super Motel 8. I like Disney World. It has got to be one of the most fun and exciting places I've been to. My uncle says that everyone gets to be a kid at Disney, and that's why they have to keep it so fun to visit. I'm homeward bound! I awoke bright and early to pack up my things and load the car with all of my luggage and Disney bags. Before heading home, I stopped by Downtown Disney for some last-minute shopping and pin trading. There's a lot of construction going on around the World of Disney stores--looks like they are going to have a bunch of new shops soon. I poked around some of the new stores and into Pleasure Island a bit before having lunch at Rainforest Cafe (AGAIN) and saying my last goodbyes to All Things Disney. Today was Magic Kingdom day--woohoo! I spent the day hopping around from one obscure attraction to another, taking pictures for strangers and talking to this person and that about All Things Disney. I helped people find attractions, gave them tips about planning their day to maximize their time at the Magic Kingdom, and explained over and over that I do not work for Disney (sob!) and gave them my story. I started to get a scratchy throat last night, and today I'm kind of dragging. Not to miss out on any of the things I had planned on cramming into this week, I downed a few aspirin and made my way to MGM Studios to knock out some of the out-of-the-way attractions that I have been missing. I by-passed our normal thrill rides for leisurely strolls through the walk-through attractions and entertaining shows.
