Our Last Day :O( Well all we had to do today was spend some time in the pool, clean carpet & upholstery, see the management company, pay a cheque in the bank, tidy up and leave,. As we were up at 7am and didn't need to leave until 4pm we had loads of relaxing time......lol if only!! Our penultimate day here in Florida so what better way to spend it than......well erm...decorate. We decided to pay Dennis to tile our bathrooms and fit the 2nd bedroom carpet. While I got on and started painting the hall, Coral popped out to Publix to hire a carpet/upholstery cleaner for the master bedroom and family room furniture. Coral cooked a bacon & cheese omelette with chips which smelt bloody lovely :O). It was going great until Dennis asked did we have any food for his 2 guys and we did......it was ours.....DOH!!!! We decided to go to Universal Studios today but via Rooms To Go as we were after a piece of furniture for Bedroom 3. We gave up after a couple of hours driving around to their various stores to no avail :O(. Well at least it was some money saved right!! Wrong! Universal Studios caned us for $12 dollars to park the car and then $191 for two, to enter the park....wow!! and half the day had gone already, robbing bar stewards ;o) There weren't many people queing for rides so we went on them quite a few times to make [View Full Entry]

Another early start.....nothing new there!! :O) The pool was steaming and looked very inviting so we jumped in :O). Sat Nov 8: Animal Kingdom/Blizzard Beach/Epcot I didn't expect great things from the Animal Kingdom, but quite enjoyed it. The highlight was Everest, the marquee coaster which wound through and around 'Mount Everest'. It didn't go upside down, but backwards and forwards through light and dark. It was fun. Much of the park was like a big zoo, so we saw a whole heap of animals. We did a 'safari' which took us out into a Monarto-style area, though it's probably a poor comparison because here we actually saw some animals - lions, giraffe, elephants etc. For lunch we had burger [View Full Entry]

Well it was an early start today as Man Utd were playing Arsenal at 7.45am. Utd lost 2-1 Nuff said about that game, anyway it's the taking part that counts....lol After the game and a slap up breakfast we headed off to see Jenifer & Dennis who were showing us around our local area today. We met up at The Loop, which is a huge shopping outlet. J & D brought along their grandaughter, Savannah who is a really adorable 3 yr old. After waiting for over a year the day finally arrived to paint the pool deck....yay!! And if I say so myself, it looks bloody lovely :O) it took just over 3hrs to paint, the majority of which was preparation. After cleaning up, ourselves and the tools we went to Epcot. We had a fantastic day weather wise and it's a great place for interactive fun. We spent 9 1/2hrs there with a firework display finale, which was excellent! Finally some sun........Wahoo!! As it was sunny out we got up early about 7ish. Coral painted the front of the house whilst I fixed a few little jobs around the house. We met up with some good friends Jenifer & Dennis, Who were helping us pick up a door and carpet from Lowes in his pick up truck. They showed us around one of their homes.......OMG is it gorgeous or what!! just slightly out of our price range though....lol We took them to lunch at Chilis (think TGI Fridays) as a thank you for their help. I arrived in Orlando and at the hostel later than I was expecting so did not think I would go to a theme park today. Instead, do some shopping and a couple of the smaller things. As it turned out I met this German guy in my dorm who was diving to Universal Studios and I couldn't pass up the opportunity for a free ride so I went along. Weather was overcast today, no sun at all :O( although it was still quite warm. As the weather wasn't great, we did some work around the house. Coral and I jet washed the pool deck (took about 3 hrs) in preparation for painting it. After that we ended up back in the pub to watch Man Utd. in the Champions League.
