It's official now: I've set foot on land that my parents have never touched. As a child I thought it was impossible, but here I am in the United States of America. Hooray! I'm staying with Dave's sister and her family in a place called Viera. It's about an hour driving from Orlando where all Disney wonders happen. It's a beautiful house in something called a 'planned' community. It's straight from the show 'Desperate Housewives' on Wisterialane. Strange enough there is hardly anyone doing things outside. Maybe that is because the weather is so hot here. When I got out the plane I had half a panicattack, I thought I wouldn't make it to the car haha.
Today Jennifer (Dave's sister), Jena (Jennifer's daughter), Dave and I went to the T-REX cafe which is in a part of Disney World where you can enter the area for free. The cafe was absolute insanity. There were different themes inside including something jungle-like, an ocean theme and some others. Jennifer took us for lunch in the Ice Cave. There was so much to see...I think I felt like an African Bushman in New York...after I had another half of a panicattack we had
a really yummy lunch and then went out shopping around in all the Disney stores. It does something to you. I secretly became a little girl again on the inside totally at awe of all the glitter and girly outfits. Especially the areas where you can assemble your own My Little Pony clothing line and put together your own little crown are great. There was also some place where you could stuff your own dinosaur animal and then there was a whole shop on just clothes and accessories for the stuffed dinosaur...including shoes and slippers and sunglasses and the cutest little miniskirts. I've never seen anything like it before.
At the house there is supposedly an alligator lurking around in the water. I haven't seen it yet, although I did see the head of a turtle sticking out. At the house across from the water there lives a lady who handfeeds these gigantic birds called sandhilll cranes. It's a crazy sight, Dave and I call her the emu-lady. So far I haven't seen any unusual animals yet. Tomorrow I hope to see the alligator and the armadillo that digs into the front yard.
