hey every1, Carrie here, So if you've been to Florida before you know that you really need a holiday when you get back, everything is exhausting.......When we arrived into Orlando it was about 3 o'clock and after getting our packs that seem to be getting bigger by the day we went straight outside for a taxi, 5 mins away from the air-con and we could already feel the sweat running down our faces. We arrived at The Best Western Plaza on International Drive and after checking in arrived at our room, its so great being able to unpack for 2 weeks, our room has 2 hugh double beds, TV, large bathroom and dressing area (we are now used 2 bunk beds and 8-10 other people sharing our room) It really is a luxury not having to lock your things away all the time. The only thing we done that night was grab some dinner and do our washing......how crap having to wash the same things over and over again, everything is ready for the bin lol.Our second day we went up to one of the shopping malls, Timberland, Nike, Adidas, Calvin Klein, nearly every designer you can

Us with buzz lightyear think of its here (well except diesel and replay), after shopping for what felt like hours Mr Colin was well stocked up, he got Timberland jeans for £12, Timberland watch for £40, 2 Tommy Hilfiger jumpers £20 each and a Tommy Hilfiger T-shirt for £6 and Adidas Trainers for £30, you cant beat them prices back home and its all the latest stuff. We came back, got showered and changed and decided that we'd do a dinner show.....so we asked in reception and the Pirates Dinner Adventure was still available. We had a really good night there, even though it was mostly for kids. The set up was really good, there was a hugh pirate ship in the middle of the room and half semi circle tables set up at each side, we were in the front row as we went V.I.P. Firstly we went into the lounge and had our starters and got to meet the cast of the show and posed for pictures with a woman and her snake and then we were led into the main room, we got free champers which was gorg and funny pirate hats and some cheap bling. The dinner was really nice,

Colin with goofy at animal kingdom we had chicken, prawns, veg and rice and for dessert was apples in cinnamon and ice cream, and of course there was free drink through out. After the show there was to be a disco but not many stayed as they had kids and it was late. So we thought we'd go back to the hotel and do some midnight swimming in the pool only to discover that there was 30 other people in there lol, we got in anyway as it was so warm and off to bed for a lazy lie in.We just spent Day 3 lazing around the pool again and off to dinner that night, Day 4 we went to Typhoon Lagon, we spent all day on the water slides and in the wave pool, it was pure class, its like a hugh tidal wave that knocks you clean off your feet. When we got back we were totally exhausted so we had an early night and spent the following day lazing around the pool again. Day 6 we went to Sea World, ive been a few times before but Colin hasnt and he loved it, we got on the big roller coaster and the Atlantis

Carrie with mickey at animal kingdom water ride and also went to see all the shows, after Shamu (killer whales) we were soaked right through, but it didnt take long for us to dry off, we also went to the tanks and touched the string rays and dolphins it was really class, they were so slippery. Later that night we went onto International drive, had dinner and into the fun fair and around the shops, we later met up with Leanne Moore (Colins friend from Limavady) Hi Leanne!!! and had a drink in her hotel and then she dropped us off at our hotel and kindly took some stuff home for us. wow hoo Day 7 already fs, never enough time, we spent the morning by the pool and hit another mall later that evening....now its my time to shop, I got a Timberland watch for £15 was lovin it (poor me lost my watch in Memphis) it's still not as nice as the 1 I had but i was thinking of asking my brothers to buy me the same again for my birthday or xmas as i havent seen one like it since...(hey brothers, hope ur reading this), I also got a Tommy Hilfiger Jumper

Saturday Day 8, Discovery Cove.OMG how much was i looking forward to today Discovery Cove is the best place ever.... what a day!! We arrived early around 07.40 thats so early for us and after getting our gear, talks and videos we were in the freezing pool for 8.30, even with a wet suit on, the water was cold but we were way 2 excited 2 notice much, i was so nervous as i have wanted to swim with dolphins for so long. We had 2 dolphins one was called Astra and the other called Natalie, they were so nice and friendly and kept doing massive jumps in the air, it was so amazing and so much to take in. Astra was really popular with the boy dolphins and kept swimming off so we ended up in the water until 09.50 even though ur only suppose to get half an hour lol, after that we had breakfast, everything was all inclusive all day even drink and of course us 2 planks didnt bring our ID so we didnt have any, but there was so much 2

After discovery cove that left us a week or so in orlando so we just chilled out by the pool for a couple of days and sat chatting on the web cam to our families! its great being able to see everyone as well as talk to them we're so glad we got the web cam and mic. With only a few more days to go we took ourselves off to MGM Studios for the day. It was mostly full of shows that involved showing us behind the scenes in detail how films were produced like indiana jones and how car chases are made. The main ride was tower of terror but since Carrie had already been on it before i knew what to expect but it was still a great ride. Next to it was a water ride in which you share it with about 6 other people depending were you sit depends on wether your gonna get drenched or not lol one guy got completely soaked he didnt look 2 amused but we thought it was hilarious. We also went to see finding nemo the play, the costumes and the detail put into

Us with Donald Duck it was nothing but pure quality i actually enjoyed it and i'm not really into cartoons. After cruising around the park all day we headed back to the hotel around 6 and went out that night for dinner on international drive the "sizzler" all you can eat buffet, there very hard to beat. I'm sure they hate us backpackers lol.
Florida was a really relaxing 2 weeks for us, we were'nt on holiday so we didnt have to squeeze everything into 2 weeks. Every few days we went to a park but most of the time we just lazed around and relaxed. The day before we were due to leave we had a choice of one more place to go, we had a choice between magic kingdom and animal kingdom it was tough because magic kingdom is the place with the disney castle and all the big famous roller coasters but the day we decided to go it was closed at 6:30 so we were gonna miss all the fireworks shows (its normally open to 10:30) so animal kingdom it had to be. Carrie with minnie - Animal Kingdom us but little did we know we had used them all up so we had to pay in..... $70 each but it was worth it as its probably a once in a lifetime experience. Our first stop was down to meet mickey, minnie, goofy and donald duck Carrie was so excited it really made her wee day lol . After meeting the Characters we stopped off for some food and then made our way around the park. Its broke off into different areas like africa, asia etc. We got on the jeep safari tour and we seen animals such as Gorillas, elephants, giraffes, crocodiles, rhinos and it was one bumpy ride and a woman was driving which seemed to amaze me the most. Ya wanna seen the size of the truck she was driving, i was well impressed lol. We walked around the park and stopped to see the lion king show it was such a let down for us as we were so spoilt with the lion king on broadway in new york but the costumes and stage equipment was good. We walked around and done another water ride called the Kali River Rapids and then there main roller

Carrie with flik from bugs life coster called the expedition everest. It was really weird it went threw the inside of a mountain, half way threw the ride the track was broken and it then started going in reverse it was pretty cool. We stayed to the end and watched the full parade of animal kingdom were all the disney characters parade threw the park with music going and mickey and minnie and goofy all singing along.... Carrie was in her element lol.
The next day we had to leave to make our way for Miami, it worked out cheaper to hire a car and drive down as to get the bus or train. We hired a car for $40 which is about £20 and all we had to pay for was fuel. We didn't take any extra insurance they try to sell you as its only 250 miles down the road and mostly freeway the hole journey so off we went that morning on the hunt for Miami Beach!!!!!!
