After a crazy last weekending 24th of December trying to give finishing touches.. 24th was bit weird to feel that life was going to be completely out of track for most part of Year 2010.
After a bit hiccup while boarding first flight to Newyork i sat beside this Chinese ethnicity my age girl looked true American by not even throwing a simple smile, let alone conversation was far from topic, even after my repeated attempt.
i started thinking man i am traveling alone and people are supposed to like to talk to single travelers, but all changed when i got down in Newyork.
Airport immigration was fairly simple, why are you here? Where you are from? and what is your Date of birth? with a smile in the end Immigration officers says "Welcome to America"
Took a subway train from Airport, where I met this french guy, had good conversation all the while until i reached my hostel stop at Times square,
Times Square gave me that feel of America, glowing lights, thousands of people, busy kebab and sweet peanut stalls all around, big glowing digital sign boards, awesome it was.
I took this City tour bus pass for

Ground Zero
Site where Twin towers stood one time.
3 days which includes 2 boat rides, 1 to Statue of Liberty and Ellis island and other boat ride for 2 hours rounding complete Newyork city,
Guys i know we had all this confusion about geographical bisection of Newyork city, i could not personally understand, is Manhattan a city then what is Newyork is it a state?? and many more.
But what it is that Newyork is a City which is made up of Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx and Staten Island these are like Panjagutta, Banjarahills, Secunderabad, Oldcity to our Hyderabad.
Manhattan is the area where most of the skyscrapers are located, Wall street, Empire State and many other famous landmarks.
During four days in Newyork weather was very cold, rainy, breezy not pleasant at all, i was expecting this but it was horribly hard to go see places and be out door.
first day i took bus tour to Brooklyn which is a big borough of Newyork, then second day i went up top Empire Estate for eagle eye view of Manhattan borough.. amazing that city has so many tall buildings..tightly packed in streets.
Then walked up to ground Zero which is a site of Twin towers, then

Financial districts Bull
This Bronze bull is just out side Wall street
took a boat ride to statue of Liberty island.. lovely lady she stands there.. a true monument for it size and great immigration history which she represents.
During all the while in Bus when touring city, or standing in long Queue to get in to Boat for statue of Liberty i have met so many people and shared a great conversations unlike exact opposite to experience with that girl on flight.
yuske Japanese guy was one my roommate at hostel, he loves Indian curry and Indian culture.. thats it i took out my culinary skills, we set 28th as party night we called it Indo-Japanese night, invited 2 other Australian roommates and set to make Chicken Curry at Hostel kitchen.. Yuske had brought Japanese Sake and beers, it turned out to be a big fun party joined with a Argentinean group in Hostel danced all night, yuske lives in Tokyo invited me to stay at his apartment, it was good of him i am afraid i will take up his offer..
After saying good bye to Newyork and hostelers i was set to take flight to Miami which had a stop in Charlotte, the next event happened made

Brooklyn Bridge
crossing Brooklyn Bridge on tour Bus.. Weather was King
me doubly strongly set to believe that things and events happen for good.
the connecting flight from Charlotte to Miami got over booked airline lady announces for volunteers who can take next day flight, offering a Hotel accommodation and $275 airline voucher i jumped on that announcement and so was Gravey he was flying from upstate Newyork to Miami for a concert of Phish band.. we hooked up together next day he did not had place to stay so i bought him to hostel, where room was available after a short walk in beach, we set to off to AA arena.. it came as a complete surprise to that there is this section of people who are fanatic fans of Phishband and all most all of them are Yuppies, remember that Dum Maro Dum song people who are on Herbs, Grass, Marijuana, Hashish all the time, spoiled hair, unclean, unhygienic people who talk philosophically about human life and its existence..
This was when i took a detailed look at Gravey who was yeppie himself and hardcore drug addict with some mental disability problem, i said what the heck lets live a life of yeppie for one day after spending some
time on park like place right in front of that Arena, which was gathering place for all this people, drinking bear smoking pot right open, people selling food and cheap phish band souvenirs, we went inside(Gravey had extra tickets), even though tickets said we should be in 1st floor, Gravey took me to fourth floor top most, what happened next was unbelievable, there could be easily 30thousand people in that arena on top dozens of security people, right in there Gravey takes out his Glass pipe sizing a cigarette, stuffs some grass and lits it to take a deep breath smoke pot, i was like this guy will put me i Jail tonight, i turned around to look behind and on far corner sides to my shock there were at least 500 glass pipes all lit and people where deep into swinging along music..i said to myself man i thought Amsterdam was crazy where they sell weed joints in coffeeshop dedicating a separate menu for them, but Miami crossed all limits of imagination where people smoke pot in a Huge Arena.. Music was fantastic, i recommend you all to hear and i am actually planning to have a best of
them collection meself. It was never forgettable life experience.
No i will not say weather i did the pot or not!
On 31st i woke up late strolled beach for a while and then went to this bar where i met American couple had a 2 hr conversation and then by 10pm i bought small Quater Bacardi a glass, coke and Cajun Flavored fires walked close to beach waters and welcomed Newyear. i actually felt nice to be alone enjoying Miami fire crackers show.
This what i have so far, i will try keep writing, first week of travel i call successful so far, but i been spending monies more than what i had budgeted daily for USA.. its bloody expensive, particularly Newyork, i keep myself saying next all destination on my list are all developing nations which would not be as expensive as US.
Enjoy Pics!
Cheers All
