So much to see, so much to do....and so little time left. We have a little less than a month to live our life of leisure in this wonderful part of the country called the Sunshine State. Noooooo. Say it's not so. We aren't too eager to return for even the tail end of winter back home. Even though it is Spring on the calendar, Shongo hasn't recognized that fact. I'm sure the peepers aren't peeping yet. Winter up North has been a doozy. We've been spoiled. Our biggest question concerning the occasional, varying temperatures here has been whether to take a light jacket or not when going out. Sorry about that, Eskimo friends. But, soon, we will get back to our real life and remember all of this as the "Wonderful Months" rather than the "Winter Months". Speaking of winter (even though I'm sure you would rather not), we went to "Winter" Park the other day for their annual Art Show. We have gone to it every year and thoroughly enjoy it. It is so festive and fun. The many works of art are awesome. Most are very pricey or you would be seeing some of them as decor inside Coming Soon
Cory is ready....WOo...WOo... our RV. Inside, I have my lucky China Cat waving out the front window next to my pretty lighted tree and all our signage. It works for us. This year, as a special exhibit, they had the new SunRail Train on display for a tour inside. This train, very soon, will be going into operation. You can take it from DeBarry (above Sanford) to Sand Lake Rd. in Orlando. Eventually, it will continue on into Kissimmee and end at Poinciana. We live pretty close to this last stop! Whoopee. WOo-WOo. Shelton Cooper (Big Bang Theory) would be in his glory. He loves trains and so do we. We will surely be riding this train next year. All Aboard! If we never get to ride the Mardi Gras float....no big deal....we are taking the train! WOo-WOo. I'll be hearing the soothing sound of the clickity-clack, clickity-clack as we travel up and down this railed wonder. Yipeee! It only costs a couple dollars....I'm such a cheap date. Remember to get your tickets so you can ride along with us. For walking exercise (right!)...we went to the Prime Outlet Mall not far from us. Since new construction is a regular part of life
All Aboard
Two Story Train down here (looking for work?...come on down!), we checked out the new addition they have made to this mall. To our delight, we found a wild & crazy restaurant that we have visited in both Memphis and San Antonio. It is called Dick's:Last Resort. You go there prepared to be insulted. They staff work you over really well and try to embarrass the dickens out of you. Why go there, you ask?? Who would want to be tormented? It is a such a fun time with great food. If you don't leave laughing, you are frozen. If you are in the area or find one elsewhere...Try it; you'll like it! And you'll laugh the whole time.....which actually burns up a few (very few) calories. Ha, Ha, Ha. If that worked, I'd hire someone to tickle me 24/7. The last couple pictures I've posted show you what our neighborhood looks like up on route 192. We are right in the middle of all the tourists traps....hundreds of gift shops owned by all the relatives of Apu Nahasapeemapetilon: Indian Kwik-E-Mart storekeeper, friend of Homer Simpson, restaurants galore (they tore down the McDonald's right after we arrived and built a brand new one
in its spot which just reopened..that's fast food service!), bars & grills, motels/ hotels, and the amusement/shopping park: Old Town. Our Wednesday night lobster meal dates will be ending soon as the days on our calendar get crossed off. Sniffle, Sniffle. Back to Friday night fish fry's....which are very tasty also. Our last lobster supper this past week was shared with good friends: Carol & George from Canada. Of course, Sam & Sandy were there as the four of us are the constant regulars. We could probably work there... we know the menu backwards and forwards. Carol & George travel home this Saturday. Lulu had to give George a good bye kiss. She loves the men! Such a flirt! I have to keep my eye on her all the time. Safe travels, good friends! Yesterday, we went to Clermont for a visit with our Brimfield friends, Linda & Jim. They stay at a really nice RV resort in that area. Their friends, Valerie & Dwight, joined all of us for a very enjoyable day and a delicious meal. Linda & Jim head home soon. The Northern migration begins. The pedals are to the metal and the traveling houses are hitting
Timothy's at Art Show
....for our son, Tim and our friend, Tim. Sheldon loves trains. the highways. Safe Travels to you, also. Until we meet again......Kiss-Kiss from Lulu.
