April 7th

April 6th, Ft Lauderdale, 1:31pm
Well that morning certainly falls into the category of interesting. It started with some phone calls from guest relations who had some guests that can’t read apparently so I had to go figure out their bills for them, yes ma'am you were charged and then credited, see here where it says credit!!
I called Ed at 10:00am to wake him up and tell him to be on the gangway at 10:30am for breakfast. He brought Mandy along, one of the new activity staff for breakfast as well. We got tired of waiting for the shuttle so 5 of us (Daniele and his girlfriend) jumped in a cab and took off for the calling station.
Ed, Mandy and I headed for the Irish pub for breakfast and we ran into Hannah and Mauricio so we joined them. Ed talked to Mandy into a tradition English breakfast, which included black pudding (dried pigs blood if you didn’t know what it was) and that turned out to be a better choice than my chicken strips because of the fact that they were not cooked, mmmmmm nothing like a little salmonella in the morning!
I needed a haircut so I left Ed and Mandy and headed for the barber. 15 minutes later I was done with that chore and then on to Publix for some supplies. It is always fun to walk around Publix on Sunday mornings because you run into all of your friends!
I only had about half an hour left so I thought I would take a cab down to Walgreens instead of walking to save some time, well that turned out to be a bad choice. I jumped in a cab in front of Publix and as the guy was trying to pull away from the curb he almost hit this big black F350. Well the next thing you know they are honking and yelling at each other which prompted the cabbie to pull over and threaten the guy in the truck, which in turn made him angry so he got out of his truck and walked over to the cabbie. Oh good I thought, I guess I will drive myself to Walgreens, because these guys were now standing toe to toe jawing at each waiting for the other guy to throw the first punch! Fortunately that never happened and they each got back in their vehicles, there was some more yelling and honking and then the guy in the truck followed us all the way to Walgreens!!
After that my morning calmed down a little bit, I got what I needed at Walgreens, and then went to the bagel place to grab a couple of sandwiches for today and tomorrow and then stopped by the luggage place to get a suitcase for my trip home next week.
I have a shorter day today because I was on discrepancies this morning, so I only have to work 2 - 8 this afternoon.
8; 15pm
It is nice to be back to our regular demographic, the desk was very quiet most of the day. We got the comments from the last cruise and I had this one guy who was booked for golf in St Thomas and it got cancelled because I only had two signed up so I had to cancel it but I made sure I got him a tee time, told him what time it was, told him what time he should leave to be there on time, told the golf course he was coming, and even got him a little break on the price and he leaves me a comment that I gave him misinformation and I was RUDE, I will show ya rude!!
I am done for the night, and that means I am one day closer to going home, so it makes it all ok. I am going to watch Cannonball run and then go play some cards with the boys! We are going to play 52 pick up tonight!

Well that was the most frustrating game of cards I have ever played! It was a big game, 10 people which was fine but people kept getting up to go and do things, Freddy put a Madonna concert on the TV and then turned it up really loud so we couldn’t even talk to each other, and people were taking a really long time to make decisions which just made for a really annoying night. I was a little glad that I got knocked out early and got to go to bed at a decent hour.
