We took our breakfast on the balcony again and decided to go to Shell island. Dad heard about it on the Internet and apparently was an island just filled with shells. Mom wasn't excited, but we  made the 1 hour long drive to Panama City to catch the ferry. Once we got there, we drove around, lost, for 30 minutes thanks to iPhone map. We finally found a old rickety wooden motel that rented pontoon boats to get to shell island. So we all reluctantly got on the old boat loaded down with all our stuff. We drove out into the bay saw wild sting rays! We did not go swimming. We made it to the small island and stepped out off the anchored boat onto a patch of sea grass, which is like underwater soft long grass. Next to the grass was little sandbars(All this stuff was just off the main island.) we saw tiny shells and snails and crabs. Dad went to investigate the island and then we began the long trek up onto and over the island. We saw cougar prints and stepped all over long shrubby grass that made your legs itch for about 1/3 of a mile. Then, we saw the beach. It was like no human had ever been there, the only footprints were from birds. The water was a perfect sparkling turquoise and the sand looked like untouched snow. It was worth the trip. The whole area looked like something out of a movie, a mix between a James Bond movie, Fools Gold, and a shipwreck movie. Too bad, Matthew McChaughnahey(?) didnt show. The water was perfect and warm , I wasn't even scared there would be a shark.  There were palm trees and sand dunes between the shrub trail and us, it was beautiful! We snorkeled and found amazing shells, like  almost whole sand dollars, and conches. We lazed on the clear beach for hours.         We walked up and down the beach and only saw other people one time, from a distance. It was the prettiest beach I have ever seen! On the way back, one of the boys threw a Cheeto to a passing seagull, which it caught, they started throwing in their latest game  " Who can throw more chips at the birds?"  they soon had a flock of followers. We were running out of cheetos and more and more birds were following, some even right over the boat, the other boats were starting to stare at the huge mass ofseagulls tailing our boat, so I went under the canopy, afraid of seagull crap. Connor and Caleb ran out of Cheetos, and they started cawing at us but much to the boys relief, left. Then we saw even more wildlife, dolphins! There was a whole pod right in front of our boat! It was so cool! We dropped off the boat at the dock and headed back to Destin, and made a quick stop at Seaside. Seaside Is a Stepford-eque little town which I love! I want to move there ! We ate at a delicous little taco bar called Bud and Alley, they were the best tacos ever! Then I did a little shopping, I wanted everything! It was all beachy meets Antripologie bohemian. I'm going back tommorow%
