After New York we took a train to Washington DC (the capital of the USA) and then drove to a place in Virginia called the Tully House. It was a big, big, 3 storey house. The basement had a pool table where I beat my brother, Tom once.
We spent a week there and during the week we went into Washington a couple of times. I went to the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum and the Museum of Natural History. I saw a space shuttle. At the Natural History Museum they had lots of fossils and dinosaur skeletons. I thought the pterodactyl was blinking at me. We then walked past the White House (George Bush's place), the Washington monument and up to the statue of Abraham Lincoln. It was big. He was very big.
I noticed a few differences between Australia and the US. They use American dollars, pounds and ounces instead of kilograms, miles instead of kilometres, degrees fahrenheit instead of celcius, they drive on the right side of the road and they speak wierdly (don't they).
On April 23, we drove to a place in Maryland called Frederick to see a game of minor league baseball.
When we got there I was chosen to play in some games between innings. We got some great seats near the front. Before the game their bat boy gave us a baseball bat to take home (it had a crack in it) and during the game we got some balls and we were having a great time. Unfortunately I got hit by a foul ball and we had to leave the game early with a hurt face. The home team (the Frederick Keys) gave me the ball to take home with me.
The next day, Dad called them to let them know I was ok. We decided to go again that night and guess what - they gave us free tickets, they let me throw our the first ceremonial pitch of the game in front of the whole crowd and the coach gave me a brand new Louisville Slugger bat signed by the whole team. We also laughed when we saw a granny pick up a foul ball later in the game.

I will be looking forward to hearing all the details about the foul ball.
I was a bit surprised to find that there wasn't any mention of you throwing up in this email.
Your trip still sounds great - we are very jealous.
Aunty Lee and co xxxxxxx
I'm all better now. The bruise only lasted a couple of days.
