We made a quick dive back into NYC for one night before we left for Connecticut, kindly being able to crash at Adam and Kat's again. Had a fun night in the East Village where we were ordered a pint of margaritas each (not our doing) which were fab. Not a hangover in sight the next day however. Headed on to Connecticut the next day, staying in a small town called Farmington in an unbelievable house. Well 1st off, the Motel 6 was *sketchy* last night...not so much by the neighborhood or the room quality, more just the people that were hanging out/staying here. Yikes. But still I slept really well, my only night in a hotel so far! I decided to take some side roads through Connecticut on my way to Boston. They started through some small New England towns, which gave way to a heavily forested, really hilly & curvy road past a couple state parks. It took a little longer, but well worth it! I got up really early this morning - I just can't seem to sleep past the sunrise! Which is great, since I'm maximizing my time enjoying the trip and not sleeping in. I knew I didn't want to drive into DC since the traffic is so notorious, so I found a road in Fairfax and just took it until I found the Fairfax Metro station. Easy! Four days from today Evita and I will be in London. At this time of day we'll either be completely lost or eating dinner at Porter's Restaurant in Covent Garden before we go to the Millenium Wheel and get our first overall look at London from above. 4/4 - Tuesday Jim & I are still in the campground in Port Orange, Florida. We went to the beach at ‘Dayton Beach’ one day last week and again yesterday. It is a beautiful beach! (pics attd). The beach itself is longer than 20 miles. You can drive onto it…and drive most of the length of it. The 1st day we went, we parked outside and walked in. The ‘driving ramps’ leading to the beach have free parking available. We took the truck on yesterday. (Some folks even drive on with their motorhomes). 3/19 - Sunday Jim & I & Frank & Charlene ‘hit the road’ at 9 a.m. last Thursday (Larry & Marsha will stay in Mexico another 3 weeks). Frank & Charlene are headed to California and Jim and I, New Mexico. We would have made it to Lordsburg, New Mexico about 5:30 Thursday evening, but we ended up in a 3 hour traffic jam (caused by an accident) on I-10 just outside of Tucson, Az, so we spent the night at a little RV park in Willcox, Az.
