With highs near 80 degrees (with no humidity), the lovely Colorado weather allowed us a couple of great picnics during our stay. I captured a few photos to share with all of you. Enjoy!

I wish I could capture the smell of the mountains in a bottle and bring it back with me.

It would have been nice if I had learned how to actually throw a boomerang before leaving Oz. However, J.W. did a great job of figuring it out and had several successful throws.

Cool shrooms! Just coming back from NYC, let me tell you that I envy the 80/no humidity comment. Stephanie's said NYC was like Dante's inferno--110 above ground with the humidity and just got worse and worse the deeper you went into the subway.

Southfork was lovely. Every afternoon there would be a brief mountain shower which kept things crisp and cool.

The green stuff looks like bamboo shoots. I've seen a lot of bamboo growing in Hawaii by my grandparents house and in little pots at HEB. The temperature is the same in Colorado as in Hawaii (plus 100% humidity).
