A little later than promised, but here is our travel itinerary as it stands right now. It may change, and it likely will, but we don't foresee any changes until we reach Europe. We are booked on tours up to that point in time. We are waiting to see how it goes with all these tours before we book anything in Europe. We will probably do some or most of Europe "on our own." Last weekend we had the party to beat all parties! It was a bon voyage party for our upcoming world trip, but it was also Ted's and my 25th Anniversary party, plus Ted's retirement party! We got to see and visit with so many of our friends --some of whom we hadn't seen for years. We also had some out of town family and friends fly in -- we are so grateful they were there to celebrate with us! We displayed a world map with our journey plotted out -- a pretty impressive visual -- and handed out cards with our travelblog address. We are finally home after 9 months of roaming the world. Our last few days of the trip we spent golfing, sunning and zipping the lines in Costa Rica -- what a blast --but the real magic came when we stepped off the plane in Denver. How to explain what that felt like? Like comfort and happiness and family, all rolled into one. It sounds so cliche, I'm sorry, but there is no place like home and when I say home, I mean our home here in Colorado, but I also mean the United States of America. If you want your kids to appreciate what they have and where they live, take them to places like Cambodia or Zimbabwe or India, all of which are stunningly beautiful but with much poverty.
