After a couple of amazing days in Vegas and feeling exhausted and maybe even still hung over we make our way to the Grand Canyon. Our camp ground is literally beside the top of the canyon maybe 1km away, the camp site is ground, rocks, a table and place for the fire.. I remember thinking ‘this is going to be nice a comfy tonight!’ We all jump in the van a make our way towards one of the viewing areas.. and like a bunch of school kids we almost bolt towards the Canyon to see it.. it was a little dark but clearly you could see the sheer size of it.. Amazing!! then.. back to get the camp fire going.. which was a god send given that it was freezing cold by now. The next morning we are up bright and early those that are going on the helicopter flight.. After a few ‘black box/crash jokes’ we were off.. and before I knew it we were flying over the Canyon.. Awesome views.. I was busy taking video and photo’s .. which kind of defeats the purpose but I will be amazing to watch in the future. After the flight we all we off to do some hiking.. which I great after the flight as it gives you another perspective.
