Geo: 39.74, -104.992Today we leave on vacation! Tom Delaney is going to be at our house at 6:15 a.m.; we'll leave the house at 6:30. That's the plan, anyway. Last minute stuff... turn off our home wireless, empty the dishwasher, turn off the water. We travel enough that a lot of this is simply routine, so why do we always feel as though we're in a mad rush? Tom is right on time - it takes a good friend to drag himself out of bed on a COLD Saturday morning to drive someone to Denver. Hallo miteinander, schon wieder schreib ich einen Blog. Der letzte ist ja noch gar nicht so lange her. Ich möchte euch trotzdem auf dem Laufenden halten und meine Erlebnisse meiner nächsten Station, Denver, Colorado, hier festhalten. Was weiß man über Denver? Wenn ihr so nachdenkt, kommt euch spontan eigentlich nicht viel in den Sinn, oder? Mir auch nicht. Der ein oder andere wird vielleicht wissen, dass Denver nahe der Rocky Mountains liegt, der nächste hat eventuell schon mal vom Red Rocks Amphitheatre gehört, welches nur wenige Meilen außerhalb der Stadt liegt. Viel mehr wusste ich auch nicht, als ich von Minneapolis hierher geflogen bin. Warum war ich also hier? Ursprünglich hatte ich geplant, von Denver ausgehend einen Roadtrip durch die südwestlichen Staaten zu machen - Utah, Arizona und Kalifornien. Das wurde im Endeffekt dann doch nichts ... read more

Chris and I went to crossfit and then we headed over to the RV storage place, picked up the RV and took it to a RV mechanic near Boulder. After we dropped it off, we found a mall nearby and let the girls shop at Justice and Old Navy. We then decided to hit up Casa Bonita for dinner, a famous, touristy restaurant near downtown Denver, located in a strip mall. When you walk in, it looks like you are entering an amusement ride. There are ropes that wind around the restaurant and lead you to a cashier. He takes your order (small menu). You then grab a tray and then go through a buffet-like line.
