Quiet Day

This was the one day I didn’t have anything planned for.
We slept in again, got showered and dressed and got in the car. We decided to have brunch at the Egg Shell in Cherry Creek. This is another restaurant that has been around a long time; it was wonderful and everybody thoroughly enjoyed it. Then, with nothing better to do, we drove up to Golden, we got out of the car, took some pictures and walked around. Noah through one of his fits, and we got back in the car. Since we had nothing else to do, I thought it would be a good idea to show them more of the mountains and some small towns. We drive from Golden to Nederland, which is deep in mountains just outside of the town of Estes park on the edge of Boulder Canyon. It took a couple of hours to get there. It was a beautiful ride, once in Nederland we got out walked around, got a snack and jumped in car, just as it started to rain. We drove back to Denver through Boulder Canyon and Boulder. We went back to the hotel to rest for a little while and figure out where to eat dinner. We decided on Rock Bottom Brewery. After dinner, we walked around the city, for quite a while, Noah really liked the horse and buggies driving around and of course the busses. Ethan liked the horses and buggies as well. We tried to find ice cream for desert, but had no success. Amy wanted to go to Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory where the boys were able to get some Gelato (not very good). Went back to the car, drove to the hotel and went to bed.
