Yippee! This is the newest Kennedy and he may be, possibly, having more fun than we are.
Wow-two days in one place. We sure do love these little min-vacations in the middle of our trip.
Today I had the wonderful pleasure of meeting a new second cousin. I have to tell you that I am wonderful-second-cousin rich. I spent the day with second cousin Joyce and we just family historied ourselves into a dither. I had read several family letters and captions to pictures that always described Joyce as "lovely," and she is. John and I were made instantly welcomed and comfortable. She had piles of information to share and delicious and healthy home-cooked food. Both were so appreciated. The day flew by and the visit was far too short. I am looking forward to more e-mails, phone calls, and a longer visit next time we are in Denver.
While we did our genealogy thing, John went to get the door to the truck fixe. But it needed parts and they had to be ordered, so they greased it up so it no longer sounds, every time we open the driver's side door, as if we are trying to lift a rusty refrigerator but dropping it. It will have to be attended to once we get
home. They did assure us, however, that we were in no grave danger of having the door fly off while we are underway, which is a huge relief. And they washed the 456 billion bugs off, most of their splattered remains baked onto the windsheild. Colorado has really, really, big and healthy flying insects who are wierdly attracted to the truck.
John got in touch with his nephew Christopher and went for a short visit with him, his wife, and his baby while I continued with my visit with Joyce. John reports that the newest Kennedy, is a very happy baby, full of energy and charm. How could he not be? He was presented with the Go-Go-Caterpillar that John picked out his very own self. I'm sorry that I missed the visit, but there is so much to do and so little time. It was hard to imagine, when we were planning the trip, how we would occupy each day. Now it's hard to imagine how we will get everything done. Tomorrow is another travel day, so we bid you all a good-night from this very vibrant hotel (last night I had wierd dreams about all of the patterns
I am surrounded by here.) Unfortunately I did fail in talking John into a massage-but I am about to go attack him with a tube of Bio-Freeze; perhaps next time he will listen to me.
