I love Bay Area. It probably felt like home on various levels. But when I left, I did not feel much attachment, at least not yet. I will miss the people, all the loved ones, so much, though.

As insane as it sounds, we decided to drive the entire distance from bay area to the middle of Alberta, Canada.
A storm was chasing us close all through. It rained & snowed...all in blissful Oregon. Got a chance to spend some quality time with a friend from school. S enjoyed her free time playing with V. Thanks to Anu, we had a short but wonderful vacation in Portland. We will cherish those days.

Quite contrary to all our travels, we took very few photos.
I've shared those few here. These photos should probably not be here as they capture fleeting moments taken from the car. Still, for memory's sake, bear with us.

Currently nesting in Calgary, Canada. We landed in the Easter weekend & the whole downtown wore a sleepy look. The Bow river is a quick 2 block away & still has a bunch of snow.
Heard the river freezes in winter. Will have to wait & watch that one.😊
It may be for a short while, but it has started to feel like home.

Coming from sea level, it will take a while to get used to the weather. But I swear we saw people wearing shorts when we were all hustling inside a warm coat which duely includes gloves. We were not skiing & it is definitely a matter of time before we start to look local😊
It is interesting how different US & Canada are though they are so close. I mean, the metric system! the people! the # of Indians!
As a friend mentioned, we were filthy spoilt in Bay area. It was like a maxi India.

Travel probably starts next month with the first long weekend.

All you lovely friends, are being missed like crazy. And you better find a way to visit us soon. 😞

Dear Meera and Ganesh, Have a wonderful stay at Calgary ! I once heard a canadian friend " US is like a soup - all ingredients mix up well and emerge as one taste - the American soup taste but canada is like a salad - all the elements stay together but retain thier individual flavours " have fun
