Hey Everyone!
Thank you so much for the warm welcome home. I have received numerous phone calls, texts, and emails. I have heard from friends I haven't talked to in years. Its great and very appreciated. I am so blessed to have you as my friends and family. I love you all!
I had only been home two days and already had jumped back into my routine. I was back to walking four miles a day and eating healthy organic meals. I immediately went to my storage unit to collect my everyday, non- travel attire. My feet missed high heels. I missed my handbags and longed to look feminine. I curled my hair, and set out for a pedicure, manicure, and an eyebrow wax. It was great!!!! My feet have really suffered since the Camino de Santiago, (as you will see in photos to come). It was nice to be pampered. I needed this. Funny story..... I forgot to change my wallet and was still using my 80's velcrow travel wallet when my friend so kindly exclaimed "WHAT IS THAT?!!! I laughed and explained it was my traveling wallet. Yes I've simplified. Its a good thing. =>
LOL Yeah "Jen Miss Designer Handbags" has gone velcrow. Laugh with me, would you. lol
I can't believe how much has changed, while I've been away. When I had announced I was coming home, I was surprised to receive so many messages encouraging me to keep traveling. Several of you, had said it was a very difficult and sad time. I had no idea just how diificult it was. I am saddened by how many businesses have failed, and the amount of people who had lost their homes due to recent fires and the economy. I volunteered to feed the homeless in Pasadena on Thanksgiving. I was overcome with emotion when I saw the amount of families lining up for food. My job was to greet the people who were dropping off food, and have them fill out the propper release forms. I spoke to a teacher who had prepared a turkey for the homeless, but had not yet cooked her own family a turkey. Starbucks dropped off coffee for the volunteers, local restaurants rented trucks loaded with turkeys and all the trimmings. We had so much food we had run out of tables to put it on.
People were parking their cars and lining the streets to applaud and say thank you to the people donating food. It was incredible. I will be volunteering a lot while I'm home.
You my friends say I inspire you.....well you in return inspire me. I am so grateful to hear all the stories of the people, you tell about me. All my new subscribers. I love catching up and hearing your life experiences. In talking with you, I find I miss the the rush of the sale, and the confidense you reap, when you nail a good presentation. The signing of the contract. As you say you are living vicariously through me, know I am living vicariously through you. Sell- Sell- Sell! Lol Ok, I don't miss the sales meetings.. I do miss my clients and colleagues. Shhh, don't tell anyone but sometimes I even miss the evil empire. =>
Gas prices are amazing! I can't remember the last time I paid less than $30 to fill up my gas tank. We all know how much I love driving my car. I feel the need for speed! I spent a day zipping all over the OC looking
for an ear piece for my cell phone. Who came up with this wacky new law. lol I feel ridiculous walking all over with this ear piece connected at all times. I'm constantly fumbling around in my car.
Sunday morning I woke up early to drive to Los Angeles to my spiritual center. I was really bummed to find it had gone "Hollywood". Its hard to focus on going within, and meditating when, there are three huge movie cameras circling the room. Yes they really are filming a movie. Since, "The Secret" has come out, our community has grown considerably. The Rev, has now written a book and will appear on Oprah again in January. My friends keep reminding me this is his vision and what he has wanted. They are right. But, I miss the old vibe. I love the energy and music so I may continue to attend. Life is evolving as it should.....
I set out walking on the beach. It was a beautiful day. From a distance you could see the dolphins swimming in the swells. As much as I am enjoying my travel adventures, its great to be home. I have really
missed California. We are very fortunate. There are not too many places where you can snow ski and surf in the same day. It was 81 degrees today!
I love all the Christmas decorations. Everywhere I go, people are so warm and friendly. Everyone seems to be in the holiday spirit. I love this!

that's nice all you share with us -:) The picture of the sea side are wonderful. I am sure that was very emotional the volunteering! And your nice hair, pedicure and manucure you must have enjoyed !! I will remember when we went at midnight into the sea in Croatia with Nena in order to help your feet come back to a "normal" way...was it Shrek 2???? hihihihih - LOL and great memory ..... love to you -:)
Flo: I had completely forgotten about that. You and Nena were so nice. Your Mom giving me that great foot cream. My feet were huge. They had swelled atleast 4 times there normal size. I was starting to worry they would never heal. LOL I was too embarrassed to take photos of this. => Thanks so much for all your help. I can't wait to see you again this summer in Jelsa! Love to you my dear friend! Love Jen
