California was not all it was said to be, of course I expected that since numerous other travelers warned me so. Jeff and I arrived in San Diego on sep. 10th and headed strait to the beach. We spent two weeks on O.B
beach and partied with the locals.
Jeffs cosent invited us to a party in ensanitas, well more like a cult gathering than a party and so we hitched up to hang out. In wrapes it turned out to be a whole bunch of rich people playing munk and tripping acid as we sat around listning to people explain why food was good for the body. After steeling a sleeping bag from them we declared the scene bull and started walking north.
Two days later we came to rest in Long Beach and Jeff discovered that he had left his wallet down in San Diego at our friend Terrys house. So after a week of working in Long Beach we made our way back down to party for another week in O.B.
Headed north again we ran into many dificultys and it took us half a month to hitch to San Francisco. When we finally arrived Jeff's friend John was waiting for us. We enjoyed free music in Golden gate park and got plenty shnockered on the college strip. Of course we spent much time on Hayte, may the dead live forever.
After much fun in San Fran we headed south again and a couple of more weeks on the road landed us in Santa Barbara. The perfect place to be in cali for travelers, except for one fact, the cops dont like us. One night Jeff and I were hanging on the beach with some other kats drinking beer which was perfectly legal and some pigs came walking up on us and started crap. I stood my ground and told them to get lost they had nothing on us so they locked me up for a week claiming I spit at a cop in the face, i told the judge it was bull so he droped all charges. They followed me around untill we left.
We left right before christmas because Jeff was home sick. Blah and bother I hate returning home in winter.
I have been home for 8 months now and Im feeling the itch hard core, so Im leaving in Oct. to Key West, FL. for the winter, alone. Jeff has hit it big with a local band and doesn't want to throw away his oppertunity to make it bigger. So untill October Im gathering supplies and readying my self for the Keys.

For the last 5 years I have been backpacking the rough and uncaring roads of this crazy country, from vacation spots like Key West to Ghost towns like Pinkney Ville Ill. Travel is my life, and it seems there is no better way to live.... full info
