Built in an old gas station. Great food!
It was a lovely sunny cool day on the Coastal Highway, not a g and p day, hallelujah. There is a nice organic cafe called Queenie's Cafe. It is located in Elk,CA and the food is awesome. The coffee in California makes me itch it is so strong. I still think that is what makes the drivers so crazy here. They are constantly wired! Drink more wine for heavens sake... Then onto the seal beach vista point where we met a BMW F800 rider. He was having chain problems so we gave him the Santa Rosa dealer's number. When we stopped by to visit the dealership later, they were still there and we visited some more. He was impressed about the anonymous book for our riders organization that lists numbers of dealers and riders all over the continent and Europe who will help motorcyclists. The folks at the dealership were very helpful in good wine tour information and day spa specials, Yee ha! They even called a motel for us and found us a terrific home base room. The way that rider was looking at my 1200 and the 1200 GS choices of bikes, I will just bet he will own

one before long. Time to lose the chain nothing like a smooth shaft driven ride.

Later it will be a trip to Peanuts museum and a few touristy things to do for a down day of rest.

The coastal highway can be a little challenging for some folks. I was unable to get a picture of a "beached" Prius. He had pulled off in a viewing area and attempted to reenter the highway in the middle of a uphill hairpin. A new front bumper will be in order and ? undercarriage.

Kudos to Chris at Santa Rosa BMW! They are the type of dealership that we are blessed to have in the network. John, the F800 rider arrived at the dealership about 50 min before close and they got him in, fixed the bike (new Chain) and got him out. He left with a BMWMOA application.
