This Buenos Aires Recoleta cemetery is very famous. It has the grave sties of the many artists, writers, political and military leaders that had an influence in Argentina's history.
Dearest support group,

It is hard to believe that I am home typing on my own computer. Our house is as if it has been in a time warp because all the holiday stuff from Christmas is still up, magazines in the same place, winter weather, the roof still needs fixing, but I am definitely a different person having spent our month in South America. Sitting here at my table at 4 AM it almost seems that the trip and memories might only be a dream.

Bob's and my last few days in Buenos Aires were so much fun. It is as if we finally became oriented. The big city seemed smaller because we knew our way around. We walked miles and miles to be sure we filled our itinerary with those "must sees" from the guidebook. One of the places that was recommended was a long standing tango cafe called Tortoni's. si or por nada!

Another special treat was meeting up with some friends for wine and dinner from Santa Cruz! Believe it or not we had met them when we first visited Peru two years ago and hadn't seen them since. Funny, huh? They had been in BA for the last two weeks and had great info on a wonderful place to eat.

OK . . . I know that we will be chatting with each and every one of you very soon. We might throw in one more blog with more photos just for entertainment value.

Thanks for sharing our trip with us and all your positive, fun comments. It helped us feel connected while so far from everyone we love.

Not only were these young musicians so incredible, but I was happy to see they were carrying on the tango music traditions.

Bob and I were so thrilled with our visit to Tortoni's Cafe and this waiter made the visit even more special.

Argentina is known for it's tender beef and it really was delicious. I also loved the batata frios with are fried sweet potatoes.
