Our last leg of the trip was to be towards San Francisco. The trip was pretty uneventful as far as I can remember. If something did happen please remind me. Though just before reaching the bridge we went through a tunnel that if you didn't hold your breat while going through you would turn gay. Kel is now a lesbian, or for the more politically correct, a woman in comfortable shoes. We travelled across the Golden Gate Bridge which is absolutely amazing. We stopped at the bridge with a bit of fog greeting us. Very common in San Francisco. A bit [View Full Entry]

Today we headed towards San Francisco, stopping along the way at a winery in Sonoma Valley - much the same as the more famous Napa Valley. There were lots of yummy things to try there, so we pretty much ate lunch trying out all the dips and things! We then headed into San Francisco over the Golden Gate Bridge. What a sight. Unfortunately the weather wasn't the greatest and fog covered the top so you couldn't actually see the top of the bridge. In San Fran, like all the other places except Vegas we were supposed to be staying in a [View Full Entry]

Hello Folks! Hope you're all doing well. Our apologies for not keeping this up to date - it's hard work having fun! Anyway, we are both safe and well in San Francisco, CA. It's our last day here as tomorrow we are flying to Mexico City. We've had a fantastic time in the USA but we're really excited about going to another country. Here's what we've been up to since the last blog from Arizona..... After a fantastic 4 days in Tucson (amazing scenery, great sunsets, nude waterfalls, microwaved foods, caves, wildlife, swimming & lots of alcohol) we drove north to [View Full Entry]

I've started the preparations for my trip to Asia. I got myself an Eagle Creek Explorer backpack and some supplies from REI. I found an awesome micro-fibre, quickdry towel and i've been testing it i've gotten some books and started reading. I'm not sure exactly what i'll be doing during the entire time, but I'm glad that i'm not the only one that has experienced this sort of adventure seeking... Below is a little snippet from the Travel Blog Travel Guide. Well friends and family, it certainly has been a while since I've sat down and continued to share my adventures with you. Sadly, they have come to an end for the time being. Last time, I believe, we met up with our hero, she was partying down in Auckland saying fairwell to her homies. Mr. Camper Van (Beethoven - for you, Claire) was delivered safe and sound. The last few days in New Zealand were gloomy - wet and overcast but that didn't stop our hero from soaking in the last remaining moments of Kiwi-dom before poof! she went off to [View Full Entry]

So I thought this little adventure was over, but I just got an e-mail from Peru that I had to forward on. My friend Julie (the one I knew previously from Africa) just had to have an operation while in Peru...here is her e-mail "I barely have the energy to write this and I will fill you in later next week when I return but I was flown by medical jet out of ayacucho and had an emergency appendectomy. It was so scary. I was released today but am still very weak. All I know is that I am going to [View Full Entry]

Back in the City!

Well, San Francisco: I LOVE YOU! Our first little stint in San Fran barely did it justice. Now that we've had time to walk around and take in the city... it is just so cool. I have never felt so in tune with a city than I have here in Frisco. I even love how harmonious the town is within itself. Even though there are a multitude of different, unique neighborhoods with their own culture and denizens, at first glance they all seemed to be fairly tolerant. Now, if I were to go to law school here and actually spend some [View Full Entry]

This last year has flown by. It seems like I was talking to Lloyd about if we were going to travel or not the other day. Planning this trip over the past 9 months has been amazing. The whole idea of taking this trip started when Lloyd and I shared a room fall quarter because he quite his job as a Resident Adviser in the dorms to pursue the life of a Bartender...I think it worked out well. I was in a journalism class and we were asked to buy three magazines that we would potentially like to write for. One [View Full Entry]
