We bought our tickets to Africa (SF to Istanbul to Cairo to East Africa and beyond) three months ago, but with just two weeks til departure the anticipation is killing us. 99% of our preparations are done--pouring over military survival guides and McGuyver reruns, perfecting our poop-'n-bury techniques, and learning how to tame a pack of wild hyenas with a spork and peanutbutter. For the last week I have been in San Francisco. With this being my last destination, I am now planning on my next steps and how I will be able to get back here. The best cities by far have al been the ones next two water. Is this because I dont feel closed off or does it bring a stronger connection to Sydney? Actually, we just got back from California. From the Bay to LA, and back - in a week! A whole lotta driving and a whole lotta fun. Julia's first time in Killa Cali so we had to do it right. SF on 09/08 to attend a bachelor party of an old college bud - Julia got reconnected with a friend from school as well. The wedding occured in wine country that weekend - SUPER NICE WEDDING. San Francisco: Sept 16-22 We bussed it over the Bay Bridge into one of America’s most loved city, excited to be visiting somewhere that we’ve always wanted to see (the more you travel, the less this happens). I am home now, and it's great! So on my travelblog, after coming home from the PI, I made a list of things I'd miss about the Philippines and list of reasons I was glad to be coming back to the States. Hello all! Aaron and I have arrived safely in San Francisco and have both begun our ministries. We are living in a parish, school, and retired Marist community right in the middle of the financial district in downtown San Fran. Its a great location and Aaron and I had a few days to explore the city on our own before beginning our work.
