Enfim, hoje valeu a pena!!! Neste exato momento sao 8:48 PM aqui, e ainda nao parou de chover! Por hoje eh isso!! [View Full Entry]

I attempted to be a tourist in my own city today. I took BART into San Francisco ran around with my ex-coworker, Eddie. It was a really nice day today. Sunny and not chilly at all. We didn't really go anywhere I haven't been before, so I kind of feel like I failed at this whole discovering the city business. Oh well, me and Eddie had fun and ate lots of delicious fatty foods in Chinatown. After wandering til we got bored, we took BART over to Oakland and walked for miles to a place that didn't exist. Then we walked [View Full Entry]

I spent 2 nights in San Francisco. Saturday night (Feb. 18/06) was spend touring Fisherman's Warf, which was cool, but a bit too touristy. I did break down and buy yummy clam chowder in a sourdough bread bowl for supper though - all the vendors and restaurants had them. Sunday, I hung out with Nat from Australia. We rented bikes and rode along the water to the Golden Gate Bridge. The scenery on the way there was really pretty, but the bridge itself was crowded and loud. The rugged shoreline past the bridge was gorgeous and we attempted to continue our [View Full Entry]

San Francisco: Feb 18th - 22nd 2006 So we boarded our plane back at Heathrow for our 10 hour flight over to San Fran, during which time Virgin Atlantic presented every passenger with about 7 meals and 25 snacks of varying kinds (not that we complained, we're budgeting for the next 6 months...dry bread and water for us...and besides who's going to turn down free ice cream...?). We kept ourselves entertained with the in-flight games, mainly Who Wants to Be a Millionaire (I think Katie managed a record 32,000..) Anyway, we arrived in San Francisco and after retrieving our bags made [View Full Entry]

And me ignoring the computer games and opting for ice cream instead.

First post. Went on city tour which took about 4 hours and went everywhere. Crossed golden gate bridge. It was shiny. Went to Alcatraz. Awesome views from the island, interesting things to see and do, great self-guided tour. Pictures at a later date, as and when i get to a PC which lets me upload them. Bye! UPDATE: Add photos, make sure you view the full article to see them all. [View Full Entry]

So its 3am the night before my month and a half solo trip thru Central and South America. I leave in a few hours, my apartment is in a million pieces, and I haven't exactly finished packing yet, which doesn't feel good. Furthermore, my boyfriend of 10 months broke up with me today (thanks for the great timing, fella!), so that can sure throw a wrench into one´s day. I just made my first hotel reservation just this afternoon so I at least have somewhere to go when I arrive in Guatemala and after that- I honestly have little plans for [View Full Entry]

Slept better last night due to the use of ear plugs. The English duo who arrived the night before were leaving because the hostel is too quiet, I agree! But we stay cos it's so cheap for a major city. It's time for our trip to Alcatraz, the famous prison on the island in the bay. The ferry took us to the island where we had a good 2-3 hours to walk around by ourselves and also with a personal audio guide walkman which was excellent. On our return we took the 'historic' F-line tram to the town hall and walked [View Full Entry]

Hello! Here I am in San Francisco where I have been for the past couple of days. 26th Jan 06 Travelled from LA to Santa Cruz on an eight hour bus trip, or four two hour bus trips as I like to think of it. Kelly picked me up - yay! Got to see her for the first time since we were 13. 27th Jan 06 Morning - went shopping in downtown Santa Cruz and discovered we must be getting ripped off in Australia big time. I got some cool socks with Sushi on drawn on them. Afternoon - explored beautiful [View Full Entry]
