My sister and I spent the day doing what we love best... eating at a couple of our favorite Bay Area eateries (Mexico Tipico - the most delicious chilequiles rojas for breakfast and Yank Sing - the ultimate in dim sum cuisine for a late lunch), treating ourselves to a medicare/pedicare/massage combo treatment at the new Refresh Hand and Foot Spa in Nob Hill, and shopping at the San Francisco Centre. The weather was perfect in the city - sunny, limited fog , and in the mid-70s.
There is something that I absolutely love about San Francisco. To me, it is the most romantic city in the US that I have been to. Its smell is distinct (a combination of the the musty aroma of Bay waters, combined with the damp air that accompanies the rolling fog), its culture is unique, and its picturesque landscape is undeniable. Every time I make my way into the city, so many memories from years past come rushing back...that’s probably why visiting San Francisco will never get old.
Our last stop of the evening was my sister’s art show ,which was hosted at a local SF lingerie boutique. The event attracted quite
a few people from all over the Bay Area. As I was sitting down talking to some of the guests, I met a Bay Area native named Elisandro who lived a few blocks from the boutique and heard about the art show by word of mouth. It just so happened that he recently returned from a month long trip to Bulgaria, Germany, and Spain. He looked to be in his late 30’s and was in between jobs, still trying to figure out what he wanted to do in life. I’m amazed at how many people I have met and continue to encounter who are in the same predicament as I am. I guess we’re all trying to find our place in this world, our own definition of happiness, and the road that will lead us to these revelations.

I know you have heard "Life is a journey...not a destination." I am delighted to be part of your journey and hope to continue to be. Thanks for including me in your blog group. I have found many suprising turns in my journey and, although scarry at times, each has produced some new insights and growth.
Yogi,
It appears that your journey of rediscovery is becoming a road more travelled. So, as you travel on this road, know that you are definitely not alone, especially since many of us are following your journey through your blog. Love, Dad
