San Diego

Ladies and Gentleman can i please have you attention ive just been handed an urgent and horrifing new story , and i need all of you to stop what your doing and listen !!!!! CANNONBALL

Sorry just had to get the Anchorman quote in there hehe .So off i left the wonderful Miami at 8am and headed to the airpoprt which was a 2 1/2 hour drive away and in a thunder storm , i had 2 flights to get to San Diego the first one was from Fort Myres to Altanta then Atlanta to San diego , as my first flight was delayed due to the weather i was going to be cutting it fine to catch my connecting flight , as we landed i had 5 minutes to catch the flight so i put my nikes on and done the sprint through the crowds in the airport to get to the other terminal , getting to the terminal the plane was still there but the gate had closed so they wouldnt let me on , feckers , so they put me on the next flight which was in another 3 hours so i just pondered around until then .

Eventually i arrived in San Diego some 15 hours after leaving Miami i was pretty shattered again and the temperature was only around 10oC i was gutted , when i got to the hostel Lisa was already there , the hostel was nice again but full of Brazilians and i mean full of them it was spot the white man again hehe , the time difference was 3 hours from Miami so i had a kind of early night and made a nice early start . The next day was up early and was so proud of myself as i made fresh waffles for breakfast woohoo then it was off to the famous San Diego zoo , when we arrived there i was impressed how big it was and the layout and all of the animals where out and majority of them were awake ,you could get so close to them , we got to see the Pandas and it was pretty amazing to see them wander around and there was a newly born Panda which was cool , there was tons of other strange animals that i didnt know even existed , in total we had spend almost 6 hours in the zoo and i wasnt even bored once ,it really was a great day out . Afterwards we headed down to the waterfront and marina to have a look around , it was nice but San Diego is a small city and not what i had expected it to be ,so we wandered around the marina for a bit taking some pictures then walked back to the hostel , that night we headed down to Little Italy which was really nice and a xmasy feel about it we had dinner down there then headed into the Gaslamp Quarter which is were all the bars and clubs are , and that is where i experienced my first true loud American assholes shout there mouths off wooping and wowing for no reason , it was funny at first to listen to as it was what i had expected to see everywhere but after a while i got bored with it and my head was sore , they all want to be the centre of attention and are all competing i think to see is the loudest ,anyways done my head in.

The next morning at breakfast we decided to head across the border into Mexico ,and at breakfast got talking to a guy from Australia who had spoken to us as he overheard Lisa's Australian accent , and asked us if he could tag along with us ,as he didnt fancy going alone because its been advised that you dont go because there are drug wars going on ,but didnt stop us , so we caught the train to the Mexican border and walked in with no problems , strange i thought but as soon you go through that gate its like a different world, we headed to the nearest town Tijuiana ,it is a disgusting place ,and some of the ugliest people in the world live there , people would be grabbing you trying to pull you into shops trying to sell you all the shit of the day, we had walked around for a bit,got a bite to eat( a salmonela Taco) you had to see this thing to belive it ,Lisa got bumped when she bought a Mexican dress , i tried telling her to haggle more and go for $10 but she settled at $20 , then headed back to the border thinking could just waltz back in but no , you had to wait in a 1/4 mile queue with everyone else and everyone else is a Gringo trying to escape Mexico , so we eventually got back across the border and caught the train back to San Diego , that night just went out again for a few drinks and then back to the hostel where we found a bunch of young marines from the nearby naval base staying there for the night ,making a shit load of noise wooping and wowing and playing drinking games , most of them were 17 18 and could hardly stand they were that pissed ,again it was good entertainment value but one can only take so much of these fecking hollow headed Americans lol
My last day in San Diego i just went and done a bit of shopping and had a lazy day as like i said its quite a small city and not a lot to do , and tonight just going to see a movie .

Summary of San Diego

I had expected big things from San Diego as i had heard a lot of good stories of how nice it was , and my inspiration to come here was from Anchorman i was really looking forward to it , not that i was disapointed it isnt the biggest of places and i think the weather didnt help its cause , it kind of reminds me of a mini Glasgow with more homeless , it is a nice place and a relax feel although it has the loudest Americans yet but not a lot going on here .Next stop Las Vegas
