We got up early, packed up, filled our flaskes, checked out & heading up Glacier Point Road to Washburn Point to have breakast, not quite at sunrise, but pretty early. It was stunning. we then headed to Glacier Point to see if the first rays of sun on Upper Yosemite Falls would produce a rainbow, but alas no. Pretty awesome watching the light creep round, hit just the spray & then the whole falls. We then hiked up to Sentinel Dome to admire the views from there, passing some cute chipmunks playing on route. We even climbed (& slipped) over the snow to get to the summit - the one time our yak-trax crampons would have been useful & we'd left them in the car! Up top it felt like we were on top of the ... read more

Geo: 36.8044, -121.786The next morning we woke up way too early considering how little sleep most of us got. We cleaned the house much faster than I expected (we have a great group of friends who know how to get crap done when needed). We walked on the beach, enjoyed our coffees and bagels on the back porch with ocean waves and then packed to go.Half the group had to make it back home but the rest of us were in some serious need of hangover Mexican food. We went to a nearby Mexican place in Moss Landing. They opened at 10am thankfully. We feasted. I had an amazing grilled artichoke, btw. After that we headed home but stopped at Marianne's ice cream in Aptos on the way.... read more

... read more

Added coolant to the coach and checked the oil this morning. Good to go again :) Headed to Moss Landing, got registered at the Harbor and parked. No internet signal, but tried pretty hard!! Drove over to Marina to do some grocery shopping. We started at the Walmart Super Center, but didn't realize it was so new that they didn't have produce or fresh meat yet...so got a few things and headed to the "regular" grocery store to finish up. By then, we were shopped out, so back to the coach; G took a nap while I cleaned out a cupboard...had cookbooks in it...yeah, like we're using those lately!! So stored those in the basement and have a place now for the cereal and crackers :) Went over to Phil's again for Blue Point Oysters...yum!! As ... read more
