Meeting Mickey
We waited in line to meet Mickey Mouse. Chris got his autograph too.
MATTHEW
Today we finally made to Disneyland. We arrived half an hour early and when we got in we went straight to TomorrowLand and Chris and I were the first ones on the Astro-orbiter. Then we went onto the Buzz Lightyear ride which is pretty fun because you sit in a cart and move it around and shoot things. We went to FantasyLand and went on a lot of rides, like Toad Hall, Snow White Scary Adventures and we did Peter Pan. After that we went on Space Mountain. It was really dark and jerky and scary but it was also extremely awesome. The best thing about Space Mountain was that you couldn't predict the next turn because it was pretty dark, so it was like a rollercoaster ride in the dark.
Next we went to FrontierLand and we went on Thunder Mountain which is a rollercoaster through a mountain. We made Mum go on it which she wasn't too happy about. It was smooth ride, corkscrews, going up, going down and this was my favourite ride in Disneyland. After Thunder Mountain we went on Splash Mountain - I know, there are a lot of mountains, but anyway. On

First Ride
This photo was taken just after the first ride finished. Just a taste of things to come....
Splash Mountain you sit in a plastic wooden log and float along until you get to a fifty foot drop. After Splash Mountain we went through the haunted mansion which was really creepy. There was an axe murdering bride who was saying something like "In sickness and in wealth, love forever until death do we part" and she was saying this while weilding an axe with a wild look in her eye. Near the end of the ride the guy who was talking said "Oh and there's one more thing I forgot to mention, look out for hitchhiking ghosts" and as we passed through there was a line of mirrors and through each one we saw a hologram of a ghost sitting with us looking down at us which was really really creepy.
We went on the Pirates of the Carribean ride which was really well done. The robots almost looked real and the way the lantern reflected off the water made it look like you were sailing on gold. There was also a scene where there were a bunch of pirates bidding on wives.
We went on the Indiana Jones ride after lunch. It was more like

In Tarzan's home
We crawled through a big tree with netting which was Tarzan's home.
a really bumpy off road car ride and I got to sit behind the wheel. There were lots of pretty freaky things around and when we got to the very end of the ride you could see the road continuining but there was a gap so we shot down the gap at an almost vertical angle which was fun. Then we headed down to ToonTown which is the town Mickey Mouse lives in. Dad and Chris decided to go on the GoGo Gadget Coaster but I wasn't going to wait 20 minutes for a 10 second ride so I just sat down on one of the awkwardly shaped plastic rocks and watched Dad and Chris on the Coaster. Then we went into Mickeys House and we got to meet Mickey and got his signature which I thought was pretty awkward considering he doesn't have flexible fingers and he's got big rubber gloves on.
And that was only day one!
CHRIS
Today in Disneyland on my first ride I was the first person on the ride on my first day there. It was called the AstroBlaster. My four favourites rides were Splash Mountain, ThunderMountain rail road, Space Mountain

Not scared at all
Dad and Chris on a rollercoaster
and the Gadget Coaster.
In Splash Mountain you were in a log and you went down two 60 foot drops.
In Thundermountain you are in a train which goes really fast and you turn and go sideways.
On Space Mountain you are in a car and you go around a rollercoaster which goes in circles and turns around and has a lot different turns while you are looking at stars in the roof.
The Gadget Coaster was in ToonTown and it goes up a hill then down and then it goes sideways.
Disneyland is as fun as and there are so many rides to do.
