Los Angeles

We left Vegas to yet another delay ,4 hours this time and for the 4th time on this trip i was pulled aside for a seperate search asnd as Lisa was with me she also just pulled aside, im begining to think they are picking on me either that or they just want a feel hehe.

Arrived at the Beverly Hills Hotel we had booked online at around 7pm feeling very grumpy due to the delay and a bumpy air ride to find that they didnt have our reservation ,so after around 5 minutes of looking for it they said that they could still book us in but it would be more expensive than the online price..........that was it for me ,i went off on one , the poor guy i think he wet himself , but me being me can be quite intimidating as he soon found it and to apologise gave a free upgrade to a suite looking over the hollywood hills hehe i actually felt bad but these things happen.

In the morning i woke up to clear blue skies and a wonderful views across Beverly Hills and the Hollywood Hills it was amazing apparently visability in LA is usually poor but today it was soo clear, later in the morning we headed down to Santa Monica which was beautiful it has lovely golden sands and a very relaxed feel to it , it has a pier with a small theme park on it and a big wheel ,the pier has been in heaps of movies like beverly hills cops for one example. We walked down the boardwalk with people rollerblading and cycling past us , we stopped off at off at a bar bar for lunch and then continued back along , there was ropes and rings beside the boardwalk on the beach that people where using to work out with, i had to give them a go showing off a few moves myself , we continued our walk along the boardwalk and to my disbelief walked past Masi Oka who is Hiro Nakamura on the tv series Heroes , i ran back and asked him if i could have a picture taken , he wasnt too impressed but shook my hand and said yeah as long as we keep walking, after that it made my day i was soo chuffed ,Lisa wasnt too impressed though as she wanted her picture taken and didnt get it lol We then walked along and eventually walked into Venice beach where muscle beach is ,and it was crazy along there ,some of the nuttiest people i have ever witnessed , you really have to see these people to believe it , there was a prostitute who was 60+ dressed in a mini dress ,hi boots and her face was done up like a clown but from what i could gather her clientel was the hundreds of down and outs down there who where trying to make a buck by doing anything they possibly could ,for example roll around on roller blades whilst playing the electric guitar dress as jesus it was nuts , we had taken a look at muscle beach but it wasnt what i had expected it was just a open air gym by the boardwalk with a few weird old dudes in speedos working out , we had a bite to eat and left just before sunset as it could easily get dangerous there after dark with sooo many dodgy people lurking around , that night as it was Lisas last night before heading to Edinburgh for New Year we just went to see a movie and took it easy , where the cinema was it was in a mall and it was all xmasy with fancy lights trees music and familys wandering around , and it kinda hit me then that im away for xmas , i was feeling a bit low after that :(

Next day i done my washing and saw Lisa off in the morning and then headed over to Hollywood to see if i could get on a tour , i kind of got lost on the way over there wandering round Beverly Hills for an hour trying to find my way over , but in that time i came across the lambo and bentley showrooms and had a wee nosey around them but soon left after getting a few strange looks lol , there are bentleys cutting around LA like clio's its surreal but just the norm. here, Eventually i asked for directions and jumped on a bus to sunset boulevard and walked up to hollywood boulevard and thats where all the stars line the pavements , now i thought it would be alot more glamourous but it was pretty tackyand dirty , again heaps of homeless people just lying around and begging , there was people dressed in crap fancy dress and charging around $10 to get a photo with , but at the same time there was heaps of people paying so it may be a good career move ,maybe i should have brought my Batman costume hehe, i eventually found a tour which they were charging $38 for but i haggled and got it down to $24 after i saw the tour bus which was a old ford minibus with the roof sawn off , i kid you not , there was these vans everywhere , on the tour they packed you in like sardines and drove you around the stars homes and various hot spots , afterwards i wandered around for a bit and headed back to beverley hills to get fed but again i got lost along the way , right then i felt like shit but i eventually found my way back , i sorted my clothes and headed down to the hotel bar for my dinner , after my dinner was just sitting around watching the telly when of all people Alicia Duvall walked in ( for those of you who dont know who she is google her lol ) she was staying in my hotel , after briefly talking to her, no more than small talk ,she headed back to her room with food as she had just arrived and was tired , its a bad day when you cant pull Aicia Duvall lol its was surreal she must be over here for more surgery or something i didnt get that far to asking .

Anyways people tomorrow i head for Fiji and i loose a full day and arrive there on xmas eve so have a Merry Xmas and a Happy New Year , thanks to all who have been mailing and texting its much appreciated and keeps me going , and to those of you who havent bothered your arse ( you know who you are ) GET IT UP YAE !
