Hollywood and Disney

Hello All!!! Russ has told (aloud) me to do this blog... I did have to threaten him with another day in Disney!!!!
Well we met my Dad in Santa Monica as Russ said. He was jet lagged so we had an early one...
We got up early next day and hit Santa Monica, Great place but I found it disturbing the amount of homeless, my Dad said they are allowed as they can have a good life on the beach, they fish off the pier, and weathers great, as long as they are not seen to be begging they are tolerated. Hence the guy that was "Fishing for Dollars." Anyway we went off to Hollywood and went up to the Hollywood hills. We have loads of pics but will have to pulish them another time as this puter wont see our USB thingy!!! The Chinese Theatre was heaving with Japanese tourists... which was nice..... we walked up Hollywood Blvd and met a friend of my Dad's then went and said Hi at the Sound Factory Studio where he did Los Lobos.... My Dad took us to meet Sammy who is Mr Musichead. He has a great art shop on Sunset (I think), my Dad has known him since he started out on Melrose with a music T shirt and Poster shop, he now has 2 shops selling Music Photos and Art work, mostly originals, He had some incredible stuff, well worth a look!!!
We then went of to the farmers market and the grove, and had Dinner with Sam in a great mexican....
Next day we drove to Anaheim, after a brief visit to Venice beach, again loads of homeless, but there were some great characters, some of which work bloody hard... I loved the world best wino..... some of them have been down there doing their thang for 20 odd years!!!! The drive to Anaheim was fun 2 hours on the freeway..... (we have to do it again now to get back to the airport).
Then on Weds we hit Disney..... We did Disney land with my Dad as he flew back on Thursday. It was a bloody long day but every bit is worth it Aisha wasn't so sure of Indiana Jones.... but she loved Pirates, which we did twice. We managed to walk on every ride as it was mid week.... the only que was Nemo, which we did on Friday, and had dinner in the que.... but my god it6's worth the wait you go round the ride in yellow subs, and you see the reef... It's great.... We also fell upon the Tiki room which is the first thing that Walt put in the park in the early 60's (I think), It's a robotic (Don't tell Aisha as she thinks they were real) Bird show. with singing flowers and totems!!!!! We managed to do Both parks (Disneyland and California Adventure) in 2, 12 hour days. and went back for a few hours on Sat to see Alladin ,Fantasmic and the fire works.... It really is Wonderfull.... If you go, try and do it all including all the little side shows, cos I think thats where the magic really is. Oh and take LOTS of water, it is expensive buying food and drinks..... I need to go as this is costing a fortune and we need to pack to fly to New Zealand....
