Day 14

Hi Guys & Gals,

Last full day and once again the weather is s**t, with a high of 62 degrees today. Unfortunately a large proportion of the states is having some diverse weather and we arrived just in time for it......wahoo!!.....not :O(. The only good day was Wed. and so we missed most of it due to the football, which was a small price to pay considering the outcome :O).

We went to Universal Studios today. The weather was pretty overcast with prolonged showers so we had to buy jackets :o/ Did a few different rides/tours than the one in Florida, like the Backdraft show where pretty much everything blows up and gets quite hot, The movie tour where we were taken around places where TV/films were shot, like Desperate housewives' Wisteria lane, Earthquake & Jaws to name but a few.

We queued for the special effects show and while waiting they asked for volunteers so I put my hand up and got picked for the first part of the show. The highlight was where I was transformed from an egyptian to a skeleton in a blink of an eye...pretty cool but a bit nerve racking as I had to scream in front of an audience.....lol Martin the host came out and told Coral I was dead to which she laughed, he then started making fun of her by saying she would be claiming life insurance on me........lol

Went to the Hard Rock cafe for late lunch & then back for the hotel. Sadly it was time to pack again, only this time it's to come home :O(
