LA in a Day

Leaving NZ proved to be quite a mission in itself as our flight got delayed due to technical problems, dodgy!

Arrived at LAX and Emily met us there. Had the worst taxi ride ever!! The driver didnt go under 80mph the whole time. Spent the whole time holding on for dear life:)

Spent a lovely two nights at emilys sisters apartment located in west hollywood. On the tuesday we went on a massive hike to find the social security place. Then with anna maires great naviagational skills ended up in downtown LA instead of the beach.

This was absolutly fine though as we found ourselves surrounded by 70 blocks of markets...need we say more!! But dont worry mummy and daddy we didnt spent to much!! And what we did spend was only on bargins!!!

It felt like south america though as everyone was from there. We were the only to white girls around!! Debbie enjoyed speaking with the locals and busted a few trying to rip us off. Anna-Marie just smiled the whole time.

Debbie was a bit saddened as she was the only chick with a small butt...even the manikins had JLO butts!

That evening we headed up to sunset and hollywood where we ran across the premier of the release of mary poppins on DVD. Got all excited about seeing some big stars such as Dick Van Dyke, Andy Dick and heaps of others who we dont know who they are but got excited anyway.
At the airport on wednesday we lost our flight as the bags we put in storage werent delivered on time. Therefore we had to cancel all our reservations which proved to be a task.
