Finally it was time to star gaze in some fo the worlds most famous streets. I met a few boys from my room, Steven and Peter who were traveling together from the UK. Great blokes, and the 3 of us decided to get one of the hostel tours around LA and Hollywood. After staying at Disneyland all day yesterday, we too exhausted to do much of anything today. So we spent a lazy Sunday sight seeing. My husband took his Ipod and his sister's bike and rode around the city, while my sister-in-law drove the kids and I up and down Mullholland Drive. Then we spent some time in Beverly Hills. We parked and walked Rodeo Drive. I felt underdressed just walking down the sidewalks in front of some of those stores...Harry Winston, Versace, Jimmy Choo. Hallo allemaal, Hier alweer een tweede snelle update (bijna bedtijd alweer).... Vandaag zijn we flink LA aan het doorkruisen geweest. Op veel plekken geweest waar we nooit eerder geweest waren... Het begon allemaal om vanacht 05:00 toen Jacinta vol uit haar jetlag kwam en klaar wakker was.... Pfffffff.... We hebben het nog tot 06:00 kunnen rekken, maar toen maar richting ontbijt zaal gegaan. Hi everyone! This is the blog I'm going to update about my upcoming trip to Hong Kong. I probably won't be doing something worth writing about everyday since I will be working. I went on a bus tour today which took me to Venice Beach, The Hollywood Bowl, Downtown LA and Beverley Hills.....the part I didn’t visit yesterday. I saw the houses of many famous people like Madonna, Leo DeCaprio, John Travolta and many more. I also had a walk around the posh shopping area where all the stars shop in Beverly Hills and took photos of The Beverly Wiltshire Hotel, which was the hotel in Pretty Woman. This morning I went horse riding at the top of Griffith Park, close to the Hollywood sign. I went as soon as the stables opened at 0900hrs and was the only customer there, which meant that I was lucky enough as to have a one on one with the tour guide. I rode a horse called Tonto, who was quite big. Going up the first hill, he thought it would be a good idea to change his mind and go backwards.....but I managed to win him over. So I depart Florida for L.A. to do this author event. Shout out to the Bodhi Tree Bookstore on Melrose for a really nice pre-publication event for this next book, "Journeys: Stories Our Bodies Can Tell." The chairs were all set in a circle and people came out of the woodwork for it and asked good questions. The turn out is still a bit of a mystery to me since I didn't do any promotion for the event.
