Today was Disneyland day. We organised a tour pickup and drop off to Disneyland and didn’t get back to the hotel until 9:40pm.

We walked up Main Street and firstly took a Railroad ride around the park to get ourselves oriented.

Then we headed into Tomorrowland and had a ride on the Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage and drove a car in Autopia. We wandered past the Matterhorn up to the water ride through “it’s a small world” and then down through Fantasyland where we rode in the snails in the Alice in Wonderland and Debbie sat in a teacup in the Mad Tea Party and then Dumbo and we both went on the King Arthur Carousel.

We went on the Jungle Cruise in Adventureland, drank a Mint Julep in New Orleans Square and went on the Pirates of the Caribbean cruise and then went on the Mark Twain Riverboat in Frontierland. Finally we went on the monorail and walked around Mickey’s Toontown and saw Mickey Mouse at the entrance as we were leaving.

Disneyland!
Please tell me you are going back tomorrow. You only did such a small portion of the park and you missed my favourite ride- Space mountain!!! But good job getting a photo with Mickey Mouse at the front! We lined up at his house for nearly 2 hours to get a pic. VERY big disappointment and waste of time!

Disneyland
We didn't go into Space Mountain - I think it may have been closed plus I avoid the big rides as I get sick. The Haunted House was closed too, which is Debbie's favourite so she was really disappointed. I was surprised that there weren't more characters wandering around. We saw Minnie at the start but then no others until right before we left. One day was enough for me - today is Universal Studios which I'm really looking forward to.

Re: Disneyland
Sounds like some of the rides are just the same as those when we went with the girls years ago; and some of those rides were great fun. Particularly liked the teacups, especially as in the cup next to us were three nuns in their habits - and they were laughing and giggling like little children, so some of the rides work whatever the age group. Keep on blogging - and keep on having fun on the trip.
