Love. This is who welcomed me home :)
The US of A was perfect. I did everything I had hoped to do and more…
Seeing my mama at the airport. Islands. Coming home to my neice, a three year old, who wrapped her arms around my neck and whispered into my ear, “It has been so many years. I’ve missed you.” Right then I knew this trip would be greater than I could have ever anticipated.
FAMILY! Having everyone come together 4 times. So incredible and magical and perfect. Trying pot bing su, dduk boggi, and kimbap… Eating cake and frozen yogurt. Cuddling and walking and yoga and talking. Photos and cars and dogs and cats and love.
Hanging out with my mama. Going to the Korean super market. Being productive, cuddling, solving problems, talking, yoga, eating delicious food. Karen’s bakery café, It’s a Grind, drinking tea, watching So You Think You Can Dance, driving in the car, Kombucha, relaxing.
The sweet, dry grass, tree smell of Folsom in summer.

Eating at the Nugget with Tonya and the girls.
Seeing Katie in ballet class. Going to Color Me Mine and watching her rock the
ceramic painting. Writing stories and using our imaginations.
Seeing Juj and trying out Bikram yoga. It was awful and I never want to do it again, but I’m glad I tried. Catching up with Juj a bit. Swimming.
Watching 500 Days of Summer with Chris, Deidra, and Jenny. Eating a ton of popcorn because it was free popcorn with free refills.
River in Colfax. Joe bouldering. Jamie sunning. Meeting a snake. Eating black berries. Swimming in the cold river.
Talking to Jessbah.
Trying to find good gifts for people.
Finding a GIANT eggplant at the farmers market.
American River, seeing Sevier, playing Frisbee. Eating at Casablanca. Going to Borders and reading a great book, but not knowing the title.
Eating lunch with Chris at Andy Nguyens and then having Thai with Will.
Bike riding with Prashant. Twice around the Hazel loop and once to Sacramento (with Jenny and Joe). Eating Subway and sleeping on the light rail.
Bike riding alone. Getting my bearings and trying to challenge myself.
Going to Fry’s with my Dad. Talking in the car.
Heading to Sacramento with Jenny and Ally. Drinking yummy coffee,
eating cheap sushi, thrifting, frozen yogurt and playing Frisbee.
Jenny Davis time: jumping in the pool, Frisbee, yoga, Co-op, walking and wandering, Yoloberry, drawing, watching ‘Funny People,’ sunflowers, barn and meteor shower.
Meeting Jeff: juggling, yoga, Frisbee, massage, and a toothbrush.
Emily’s farewell party and the M getting hit.
Seeing Jenni and Jamie. Eating Vegan Sunflower food and hanging out at the bluffs. Playing Frisbee and doing yoga.
Finding out that Jamie, Reed, and Rachel are coming to visit for two weeks in October!
Hanging out in San Francisco…
The wet, tree, sea side fragrance of SF.
The Plant Café formerly known as Lettus. Walking around Chestnut Street. Having an epic 2 hour conversation with my mom in the car facing Ocean Beach. Heading to Acroyoga with Joe. Meeting people and making connections. Going into the Haight for African food and coffee. Eating crepes with my mom and sister and seeing my sisters new place. Sleeping and then waking to get a mammoth Chai and a bran muffin.

I really enjoyed short story and good photos of your family in Folsom. you have sweet home. especially, the photo of hugging with your niece is very impressive. your niece really pretty and cute. your niece of Folsom, CA, USA is like as old as my five- year-old niece of GyeungJu, Gyeungbuk, SoKo.
