I have thus, only recently discovered that crossing things off of my bucket list, when it comes to travel, has always been, in fact, well within reach. A bucket list, as defined by the ultimate dictionary source, Urban Dictionary ;) is simply a list of things to do before the end of one’s life. I find it hard to imagine doing many of the items on my list in my grey-haired days, so here I am, taking the time for life, and pursuing such opportunities now. I sit here, on the evening of my departure, sitting in front of this computer, thinking to myself, is this really happening. Six months ago, I realized that this summer would be the last “real” summer I will have in a long, long time. Nine weeks to myself to do anything I pleased. I could have continued my work doing research in the labs, worked in a clinic, or have sat around and do nothing.
